He is very annoying. Why does he always want to fight with me? Just ignore this boy, he doesn't deserve my attention.
I don't know why he looks good, but he's attractive on the outside, not on the inside. I don't care.
They were enjoying their freshman party. I remember mine, it was one of my worst days. I met my ex that day, and I never wanted to see him again. I still remember our first meeting—he was dancing on the floor and looking at me. It was love at first sight, and he approached me that day. I never got close to anyone else. We became good friends and soon started dating. Everything was fine until I saw him kissing a girl on his bed. He used to pressure me to get intimate, but I told him I wasn't comfortable and that we would only do it when I was ready.
He always got angry because of this. If he truly loved me, it wouldn't matter whether we were intimate or not. I saw him with another girl and thought it was my fault because I wasn't fulfilling his physical needs. That's why I forgave him.
But he still cheated on me because I didn't give him what he wanted. I used to think it was all my fault, but over time, I realized that I never loved him or felt physically attracted to him, it was just infatuation. After that day, I've been afraid to get into a relationship with anyone, but I still want my own family. I don't have any family.
My thoughts were interrupted by someone pulling my hand.
"Senior, let's dance."
"What are you doing?" It was that boy. I don't know his name, but his friends always call him Dai. Maybe his name is Dai.
He pulled me closer, and we were very close. It was a mixed feeling, weird, and I had butterflies in my stomach.
"Are you drunk?"
"Shhh, you know I don't like you, but why..." he stopped.
"But what?"
"But you're very good-looking."
"Don't say you are..."
"I'm not gay. I told you because..."
"Because what?"
"Because I'm jealous. You're beautiful."
"What the hell?"
"Yes, you're getting all the attention from girls."
"Where is your best friend?"
"I don't know; maybe he's with his new girlfriend."
He was drunk. He could talk properly, but I wasn't sure if he could go home on his own. I called a cab and tried to get him to his place, but I forgot to ask for his address. He had fallen asleep. I managed to unlock his phone with his fingerprint and called his parents. I saw a missed call from his mom, so I thought I'd ask her for the address.
"Hello, ma'am..."
"Hello, where is my son?"
"I'm his friend. He got a little drunk. Where does he live?"
The lady gave me the address. His family is very rich, they live in the wealthiest part of Tokyo.
I arrived at his place, and his mom was waiting for him. She looked really worried, but her son was very spoiled.
"Thank you so much, I was very worried about him."
"No, aunty, there's no need to thank me."
She smiled and said, "Why are you standing outside? Let's go up."
"No, aunty, it's getting late. I need to go."
"Yes, I think it's too late."
"Okay, then I'm going."
"Okay, but you have to come inside next time, as you're a friend of Dai."
"Okay, aunty. Bye."
She was sweet. I thought about what it would be like if my parents hadn't left me. I would have had a sweet mom and dad too. I'm unlucky in everything—in family, in friendship, and in love.
