Mitsuki didn't remember any memories from her parents. She was still two years old when they left.

But when she stepped inside that new light amidst the darkness, the first thing that she saw was a large portrait of two people—who she undoubtedly knew and felt that they were her parents. She didn't remember their faces, but it was uncanny that she felt a connection towards them.

"Welcome, Mitsuki. Welcome to Ultra Academia."

Mitsuki tore her gaze from the portrait and looked to her side. There sat a man—wait. Is that an animal?

Surely, Mitsuki felt like she was inside a castle. Was this place just in Kingdom Musutafu?

"I'm Principal Nezu! I'm the principal in this school."

There was no way an animal was talking to her. And wait, Nezu?

"Mom—uh, Yuna wanted to say hello to you." Mitsuki said, stuttering a little.

Nezu clapped his hands. "Oh, I missed Yuna! She was a student here years ago too. Anyway!" Nezu jumped off his high chair and walked towards Mitsuki. Huh, he was shorter than what Mitsuki expected. "We've been expecting your appearance, Mitsuki." He added whilst taking short steps towards her.

"Before the death of your honorable parents, they told us about you and seeked protection in any case that something will happen to them—and they died, unfortunately." Nezu stopped before Mitsuki and turned his gaze to the portrait.

"This painting serves as a recognition of their efforts to protect Kingdom Musutafu and Ultra Academia. They saved two places at once at the expense of their lives. It was thanks to them that the villain that tried to rule over the kingdom and the academia dealt so much damage, and now is in hiding for the past 24 years."

Mitsuki was already staring at the painting. She had no idea her parents went through that. All she ever knew was that they were merchants—that could've been a lie Yuna created to hide that her parents were literal heroes of the kingdom.

"And for the past 24 years, we hid and protected you in respect of their wishes. But now that your abilities have developed, they want you to come here to Ultra Academia and learn what they've learned."

Mitsuki looked back at Nezu, and so did he. "Fun fact! Your parents met here."

Mitsuki couldn't help but smile a little and returned her eyes to the portrait. She wanted to know more now. Mitsuki never had the chance to create memories with them, but she hoped that going here would make her learn more about them.

"I'd love to talk more about your heroic parents, but there's no time to waste." Nezu said, signalling Mitsuki to follow him to his table, where Nezu sat back on his high chair.

"Ultra Academia is where people learn and master their abilities. Students in the first level will try to learn and get a hold of their abilities. Currently, you are the only student in the first level."
