Heather looked up when she felt eyes on her but seen no one. She was surrounded by a bunch of people but felt alone except for the eyes that she knew was on her, but again she didn't see who the eyes belonged to. Until now she thought that she was alone on the balcony. She was talked into coming to this party by her good longtime friend. She wasn't a loner but loved her space and the quiet. Her friend always seemed to manage to get her to do things she really didn't want to do things she really didn't want to do, or feel was right for her. She could say her weight had a lot to do with her herself. She always been overweight but by her collage years she swore to lose it. Although she was still considered a bbw she loved the body that she was in now. She come to realize that she would never be a size six like her slim friend, but she loved who she was now. At five-nine in height and a size eleven she was very happy where she was. She had lost over one hundred pounds, and she was not complaining about that accomplishment one bit. Although she still went to the gym her goal was not to weight but to stay healthy. She no longer got winded while running and she was looking way better now than she ever did in her younger years. Now just a year out of college and striving at her new job as a realtor although her friend talked her into coming to this party and felt that it was long overdue and well deserved.

She didn't want or need anyone or anything getting in her way right now. She took a sip of her wine and smiled when she spotted her friend on the dance floor dancing with her third man for the day. Although Heather was very confident with herself, she could never be as bold as her friend was. She still found herself a little uncomfortable around men. She could talk to any man but once they started to flirt with her is when she would shut down. She didn't shut down because men scared her or that she was shy. She just hated men that thought she was easy. Men who thought she was going to be a quick lay. She come to the point where she hated for a man to approach her. If she wanted to get laid, she'd do the approaching or shed give a flirtaous look if she was interested in the man. She automatically thought the worse if a man came up to her, so she prefers for it not o happen at all. She liked her life the way it was. She didn't want it to change and didn't attend for it to for a long time now.

Standing from where she was seated, she motioned for another drink then went and leaned against the railing. She was outside on the balcony but could see everything going on onside from where she stood. Her friend was still burning a hole in the dance floor. It was a beautiful night and she felt and looked beautiful with the navy-blue dress she wore. She loved how it hugged her waist and loosened up around her hips ending just above her knees. In her past she would have never put on a dress but the new her loved to wear dresses and heels.  She felt a chill go through her body but it wasn't from the cold. Someone was watching her again. But who? Where? She looked around and there he stood in the shadows. He was out on the balcony. With her. Why didn't she notice him before? And why was he standing over there in the shadows. Can we say creepy? Once he noticed that she saw him he stepped out of the dark and into the light. Whens he set eyes on his face her breath caught. Damn he was fine. The kind of fine that gave you the chills with just a look. Realising that she was staring she looked away and took another sip of her drink. Yes the man was fine but she prayed that he didn't come towards her. Her rules were her rules and she stuck by them no matter how good they looked. She sighed once he began walking towards her. Maybe he wasn't coming to flirt with you Heather. Her inner thought said. Maybe he just wanted to talk of sit. She was standing near a table. Yeah this man was most defiantly not coming to talk to her. She had a feeling that he could have any woman he wanted, married or not. So why would he be interested in you? Her inner thought said. Agreeing with her inner thought she took another sip of her drink. Maybe she should make her way inside now. She took a step towards the door but stopped short when the voice said.

"Leaving so soon?" The voice was sexy, deep, and she knew that it belonged to the fine man she was staring at just seconds ago. Maybe he wasn't talking to her. She looked around and not surprisingly she was the only one on the balcony besides him.
