The next morning, Paige and Azzi woke up in separate rooms after Azzi went back to her own bed later at night.

Initially, Azzi had been pissed at the lack of thought Paige had in regard to the events that occurred between the two but she couldn't remain mad long once she spent time with her. She also came to the conclusion that she wasn't to blame, rather it was to be expected. After all, they hadn't gone further because Paige was so intoxicated. If she ignored all the facts, she was still hurt on some level, wondering if maybe Paige hadn't been drunk, how would she have reacted? However, with all the facts considered, she was relieved that Paige didn't remember anything because that prevented the awkward conversations, the blatant rejection and the loss of her greatest friendship.

For Paige, there was a nagging feeling in the pit of her stomach when she woke up. Her new found attraction towards her younger best friend was a puzzle she couldn't seem to put together. It felt like there were pieces missing but she didn't understand what it was she was forgetting and why it was playing so heavily on her mind.

Practice only started at 10:00 am today but both girls had decided on their own to get to the gym early to shoot around and try to make better sense of her thoughts. When Azzi walked into the locker room, she was met with another one of her close friends, Caroline. They said their hellos but Azzi remained quiet, to many things running through her mind that she couldn't focus on any conversation. It was only after the fourth time that Caroline called out her name that she finally snapped back to reality.

"Sorry what?" she asked.

"I asked you what's wrong, you look completely out of it" carol stated.

"Oh.. nothing I'm fine" Azzi answered avoiding talking about her feelings.

"Don't do that Az, just tell me what's wrong" her friend said. There was a moment of silence where both friends just stared at each other.

"Fine. The other night when we were at the bar, Paige and I got wasted and ended up making out in her room", Azzi confessed.

"WHAT?" caroline screamed with a big smile. "THAT'S GREAT AZZI"

"No not great, she woke up yesterday with zero recollection of anything that happened between us. God, I don't even want to say her name anymore it's all I can think about." Azzi said annoyed.

Outside the locker room, Paige walked up to the door but heard voices, one she recognized, Azzi's.

"She doesn't remember anything? At all? Do you regret it or did you like it, I mean Az this is insane. You should talk to her about it." Carol said.

"What am I gonna say? Oh hey remember the night you don't remember? Well guess what we ended up eating each other's faces! That's the stupidest thing I could ever do" Azzi told her friend.

"What the hell? Azzi was seeing someone?" Paige thought to herself.

"Okay fine maybe don't talk to her about it, but did you like it?" Carol asked.

"I don't even know, we've been best friends for years I think I always had just told myself nothing would ever happen and now that something did happen I can't recognize wether or not it was a friendly joke or if it meant something. It wasn't even just one kiss, the whole way home from the bar she was all over me literally had her hands over every inch of my body. And yesterday morning I swear I

thought it was all a dream and then I looked down at my boobs and there were hickeys. Like that's not something friends do but then she woke up and remembered nothing, what am I supposed to do with that?" Azzi let out.

"Was she talking about me? I'm the one she woke up to yesterday. I'm the one she came home with after the bar and I'm the one who remembered half of what had happened that night." Paige thought to herself. Not wanting to hear anymore, she opened the door and walked in, immediately shutting down the conversation between the two other girls.
