One 'Jiffy' Later
Jaune placed a platter of 10 pancakes in front of Nora, while Pyrrha placed a smoothie of banana, chocolate, and strawberry syrup.
"Breakfast, a la griddle!" Jaune said, before seeing Nora had already eaten two of the pancakes.
"Nora, please be careful. We don't want an incident like third year where you almost choked on your pancakes." Ren recalled.
"Yeah, yeah. He owes me these though." Nora said, her mouth full of pancakes.
"I really hope it's Nora quality, I haven't made pancakes in a whole year." Jaune whispered to Pyrrha, whose face immediately froze.
"Jaune, you remembered the buttermilk right?" Pyrrha said, lifting up a full carton of buttermilk. "Please tell me we had another container."
Jaune froze and turned to Nora, who stopped halfway through her last pancake.
"What? Do I look like a psychopath? Why is everyone staring at me?" Nora said, before realizing what they were implying.
"Jaune... There is buttermilk in there right?" Nora boomed, her temper rising.
"Yes there is! I used homemade buttermilk my sister Judy gave me for cakes and stuff. It tasted better to me than store bought so I used that instead!" Jaune pleaded, his words becoming cut off by one another.
"Good." Nora said, before gulping down the rest of her smoothie.
"Thanks Jaune!" Nora yelled, walking over the rubble and out the door. "Thanks for having us as guests!"
"I apologize for Nora. She's been angry at you ever since, but I'm sure she's happy now." Ren apologized once more before following Nora.
"Pyrrha, door please. We really need to get that thing more reinforced. Like, Nora-proof." Jaune reasoned.
"Nice cover-up for the buttermilk Jaune." Pyrrha said before turning to Jaune.
"Yeah, I'm just happy she doesn't know that I didn't have a sister named Judy." Jaune reminisced to his life with 7 sisters.
On the street, Nora halted immediately.
"Nora, what is it now?"
"Something seems off. I don't know what though..."
