Chapter four! Yay!

I found this art on Google and fell in love. with the frog umbrella, of course.

I remembered a type of lizard that shoots blood out of its eyes to scare away predators, and I thought: "Hey, that would make a hilarious ability to give Zelda for being a dragon!"

Of course, it's super gross, but just imagine the first time she accidentally uses it, Wild would be having a panic attack thinking Flora got hurt and the queen herself would be wondering what kind of tests she could set up to study her new ability.

I might just end up giving the ability to a random Lizalfos though.

Either way, I think it would be really funny to just suddenly have something start shooting blood out of its eyes and everyone is like: ?!?!?!?!?!

I laugh every time I think of it.

So I'm definitely making a one-shot where the chain meets Flora and she accidentally shoots blood out of her eyes, one that isn't in this book, though there will be a time in this book(maybe) where that happens. It's just so funny...

Zelda's(Flora's)POV:

I stuck yet another frog in the jar. There were so many types here in Faron! Link said he didn't collect these kinds because they were poisonous, but I think it's because he can't catch them. But it IS hard to catch them, let alone spot them, they jump so far, are only half the size of a rupee, and change the color of their skin to blend in with their environments when they're hiding.

Fascinating. I stared at the jar filled with nine frogs, they were of multiple colors at the moment, one was even bright pink, with yellow hands, and bright blue and green spots that were shifting in size and tone.

How did they change their color? Did different colors mean different emotions? Did they feel emotions? How smart were they? What did they eat? How long were their lifespans? Was there a way to tell one from another? Just how poisonous was their poison? And could I keep them as pets? They were so cute. Big black eyes, large sticky hands, and colorful skin. There was so much to learn.

This was the first time I had managed to catch them! I had found out that they liked to eat fungi, so I had set up some mushrooms so I could watch them eat. They did come and eat the mushrooms, but then they started acting super loopy, sitting around, trying to eat tree bark, and hopping on top of each other and me. I checked what the mushrooms I had just fed them were, and it was called a 'Puffshroom'.

They didn't seem sick, were Puffshrooms like catnip to them?

Best not to give them anymore in case it DOES make them sick. A giddy feeling of finally being able to collect something Link couldn't, made me grin and hug the galleon jar close to my chest.

I felt some of the animals in the jungle eye me wearily, which was reasonable, I wasn't exactly normal. Four arms, dark grey scales along the back of my hands, sharp light blue claw-like nails, glowing light blue antlers, white scales covering most of my body, a long muscled tail, itsy-bitsy light blue spikes running along my spine and tail, bright colorful eyes, fangs, and a shimmering glow to my skin.

Link called me majestic, beautiful, amazing, and a lot of other nice things I felt I didn't deserve. Some of my people called me pretty, others called me a freak.

I pretended it didn't hurt my feelings, but it did. Some nights I would lie awake, wondering if the woman Link loved was gone, and all that I was now... was a monster. I would wonder If the calamity was my fault for not being able to activate my powers in time, if the champions had cursed my name when they died, if my father hated me still when he passed, if Link was mad at me for putting him in the shrine of resurrection, and if the people of Hyrule only followed me because they feared or pitied me.
