Its been a few days since Sonic had caught his first pokemon Nincada and so far hes been getting along with his catch for starters he been helping his pokemon with its speed as well, he even started training his catch with few weaker pokemon.
Eventually hes been getting the hang of it though he tends to leave his pokemon in the dust to his own embarrassment as he shrugs innocently everytime Nincada complained to him over forgetting he was faster than it.
Sonic wipe his head over the hot sun as he check his messages some Tails, some from his family and some my Rainbow Dash as he look over at his pokemon who began detecting something coming over.
"Nin, Nincada" Nincada cried at the area as noise was heard from some bushes.
"What is it?" Sonic question as he narrow his eyes to get a good look, right on cue a strange pokeball came rolling out, it was bigger then most pokeballs as it roll right towards the duo "Whoa!" Sonic cried as he jump out of the way as the pokeball collided into a tree before opening its eyes glaring at the two.

Sonic pull out his pokedex to scan it "whose that pokemon?"
Pokedex: "Voltorb the electric pokemon, It rolls in order to move, if it bumps into anyone it can explode some usually mistake them for a random pokeball though they usually are found in power plants mostly if they are abandon."
"hmm an electric type looks like you have an advantage here Nincada, ready for another round?" Sonic questioned. Nincada nodded his head "alright use Mind Reader" Nincada used the attack targeting Voltorb so it can't dodge its next attack.
Voltorb responded by using Rollout, a direct hit as it continue its attacking due to the first rollout hitting its mark.
Sonic ponder "rollout causes normal damage but gets stronger so.....Nincada use dig quick!" Nincada did so evading the next rollout which cause Voltorb to crash into a nearby rock, it quickly recovered as it begin searching for Nincada and begin rolling around.
Unfortuntly due to mind reader effect dig was unavoidable as Voltorb was sent flying dealing super effective damage to the ball pokemon, though it recovered enough to retailate with a screech attack, following up by using spark to attack.
Though that attack backfired due to Nincada being a ground type aka immue to electrity, as Sonic called out for a fury swipes attack injuring Voltorb who tried rollout once more only to collided into a tree as Nincada dodge the attack.
Voltorb tried to use Screech only hitting Sonic who cover his ears from the noise as he shouted for a metal claw attack which striked at the pokeball pokemon who struggle to continued from the repeated attacks.
Seeing his chance Sonic pull out his pokeball "lets go pokeball!" tossing it at Voltorb who got suck inside as the pokeball was left and begin shaking for a bit until a click noise was made indicating it was caught.
Sonic approached the pokeball stun he got his first catch as he pick it up, after a few seconds it all came into his mind as he excited smirk and hold his pokeball into the air "sweeet digs i caught my second pokemon and my first catch!!" Nincada appeared next to his trainer excited too by their success.
The blue hedgehog took a deep breath as he use the pokeball to resummon Voltorb back out of it, as the pokemon appeared stun by its capture.
Sonic approach it gently and with his hedgehog smile on his face "hey there uh Voltorb i'm Sonic your new trainer, sorry about the whole thing but i assured you i'm a good trainer who can help you get more stronger by my side"
Nincada approach Voltorb happily as the pokemon look at him then at Sonic and shook his head upward in approval as Sonic pick it up and rub it making the electric pokemon looking please with the affection it was getting from the two.
"Well i have a feeling this week will be like no other" Sonic said as his pokemon cheered as Sonic observed Voltorb "you moves are cool two Spark, Screech, and Rollout and uh...you know explosive moves apparently uh i heard theirs two versions Self Destruct and Explosion so which one do you have?"
Sonic ended up regretting asking as Voltorb quickly glow white as it eventually exploded in Sonic and Nincada's faces as a big explosion took place, once the dust clear Sonic was cover in dust as his pokemon were both out as he angry scan the knock out Voltorb on his pokedex annoyed over his new pokemon doing that.
"I should've just did this" Sonic muttered as the scan dex read Explosion as the move it used.
