The brown-eyed girl was born with a power she had to learn how to control. When she was young, she suspected it was normal for kids her age to do what she could do. She was right in some ways.
She could never really fit in, she always struggled with it. But it wasn't her fault; she just couldn't control who she was or control who liked her and who didn't.
Rosemary was thirteen when Professor Charles Xavier found out about her and her abilities. At first, she thought it was weird some man wanted her to go to his school for the gifted — she ended up going anyway. She met a bunch of people like her, it was almost incredible.
She met Scott Summers a few years after she joined the school. She instantly found interest in him, becoming his friend without any hesitation. He didn't find her weird like every other boy she met. He was one of her closest friends. How could she not grow attracted to him?
For once she felt safe and wanted.
