THE science museum probably wasn't the best place to bring a bunch of mutant children. It wasn't bad so far but Rosemary had a weird feeling things could go south.

"Come on. Pay attention." She told a boy who was by the Sabretooth Cat display. She saw Scott watching some video on the screen nearby, she smiled at him when he glanced at her.

Rosemary got easily distracted sometimes but now it seemed to be getting worse. She turned around, flinching at the numerous voices of other people in her head. All she could hear were their thoughts — it was messing with her mind.

"Rosemary? You okay?" Scott's voice snapped her out of her trance.

"Yeah. Yeah, I'm fine. It's just.. just a headache." She shrugged it off, not wanting to worry him.

"It's not just a headache, is it? Listen, I wasn't really sure how to say this but ever since Liberty Island, you've been-"

She cut him off, not wanting to hear what he was saying. "Scott."

"You've been different." He spoke anyway.

"My telepathy's been off lately. I can't seem to focus, I can hear everything."

"It's not just your telepathy," He interrupted. "A month ago, you had to concentrate just to levitate a book or a chair across the room. Now, when you have a nightmare, the entire bedroom shakes."

"They're just nightmares, they'll go away. Don't worry about it, alright?" She had a worried look in her own eyes, hoping she couldn't believe the things she was saying herself. It was only a bad feeling. They don't actually happen, right?

Scott embraced her in his arms, reassuring her. "I would never let anything happen to you."

"Hey. Have you guys seen Bobby and Rogue?" Storm asked as she approached them, Jean following behind.

"Something's happening in the food court," Jean spoke up after a moment.

"Awkward," Rosemary mumbled under her breath as the professor froze everyone but the students in the museum. He wasn't very happy about Bobby and John using their powers. It certainly wasn't a good look for the school.

The news was broadcasting, quickly gaining everyone's attention. "-where there's been an attack in the Oval Office of the White House. Details are still coming in, but we have been informed that the president and vice-president were not harmed. Sources say the attack involved one or more mutants."

"I think it's time to leave, Professor."

"I think you're right. " The professor said in response.

"My opinion? Magneto's behind this." Scott stated while looking out the window.

"No. I don't think so, Scott," Jean said.

"While Erik is capable of organizing something like this from prison, for him it would be irrational." The professor spoke. "It would only hurt his goal of mutant prosperity."

"You mean superiority." Rosemary corrected from her spot on the couch, Scott took a seat next to her.

"You're right. If Erik had his way.."

"Of course, you know how the government will respond," Storm spoke from the corner of the room she was standing in. "They'll reintroduce the Registration Act."
