Mer cried and cried until he had nothing left and eventually fell asleep from all the emotional baggage was lifted from him. Of course, he passed out on Oscar, who was still sitting in the bottom of the walk-in shower. It was very hard for him to get up off the floor with the dead weight of an exhausted merman on top of him. He shimmied up the wall and leaned over, shaking Mer awake. Mer looked up lazily as Oscar grabbed his arm and pulled him to hint at him getting up. Mer heavily helped Oscar pull him up but leaned onto his friend as Oscar walked them out. Once they were out of the shower, Oscar grabbed Mer up and carried him bridal style back into the bedroom. Mer snuggled against Oscar's chest, listening to his heartbeat. These arms were the source of every good thing that has ever happened to Mer. They were the ones that helped him when he was hurt, they held him, they comforted him, they brought him home. Without these arms, Mer would have been lost a long time ago.
He felt himself being lowered into the bed and he tightened his grip, not wanting him to let go.
"I need to get out of these clothes. I'm soaking wet, and so are you for that matter."
Oscar pulled his arms from under Mer and he sat up, sitting on the edge of the bed. Oscar took off his shirt and threw it in the hamper and started taking off his pants. He pulled them off and grabbed some sweats, a sleep shirt, and some underwear and walked back into the bathroom to change his clothes. He came out, fresh and dry, and then looked at Mer.
"Are you still able to fit into the sweatpants I bought you?"
Mer looked down at his stomach, which was slowly inching from under the shirt he was wearing and looked back at Oscar. He gave a shrug and Oscar made a face, thinking. Mer shyly pulled the shirt down over his stomach, waiting for Oscar to figure out what he was going to do.
"I think you'll be fine for the night. Tomorrow we can go shopping again to get you something bigger and more comfortable but tonight shouldn't be an issue." Mer nodded in agreement and Oscar looked at his belly. "How um... how far along are you?"
Mer looked down and thought for a moment. He then held up four fingers and Oscar nodded.
"Yeah, four months looks about right-"
Mer shook his head 'no'. Weeks
Oscar blinked. "You're only one month?" Mer nodded. "That's not possible."
Why do you say that?
"Because I've seen pregnant women and they don't look like that at no month mark. Either you don't remember and it really has been four months or... something else is going on."
Mer looked away for a second and then looked back up.
Does... the size of a person make a difference?
Oscar thought for a moment. "Not for humans but sometimes it does for other species. There was a story about a Yorkie getting impregnated by a Rottweiler once..." Mer turned his head. "A little dog got impregnated by a dog about three times it's size. Still trying to figure out how... that worked." He said, moving his hand around.
Mer turned his head again. What does it look like?
Oscar looked around for his phone and grabbed it, typing in the search engine for a picture. He found one and then showed it to Mer. Mer's face dropped in horror and his eyes got large.
"What?" Mer swallowed a little and Oscar's black eyebrows furrowed. He went over to Mer and knelt down beside him. "Mer, was the one who did this bigger than you?" Mer looked away and nodded. "By how much?" Oscar asked, a hint of worry in his voice.
What's the size difference between a killer whale and a dolphin?
Oscar stood up and blanched at his friend. "Are you fucking serious?" Mer couldn't hold it in any longer as tears started trailing his cheeks and he looked down in shame. "Oh my god... Merfolk get that big?"
