Summer was fast approaching. I knew if I wanted my answers I would have to act fast.

It's as if the Gods were listening to me. Hades was alone. I could approach him with ease. So I strutted over and cleared my throat. He looked up. "Mae!" He said with a smile. "What a surprise to see you." I stood with my arms crossed. "Why do you call me that." He looked at me pensively, debating if he should answer. "Maleficent. A name that means being bad, rotten. You, my dear, are so much more than that." I scoffed and said, "Being good gets you nowhere in this world. Being bad is the only way to live. I don't care if you think I can be 'nicer'." I was getting angry. This wasn't good. I had to stay neutral if I wanted him to answer all my questions. Hades stood and looked at me. "I fear you may have misunderstood me. You are so much more than that Maleficent." He held my chin in his hands and looked me straight in my eyes. I never noticed how blue they were. Icy and cold. As cold as death itself. As blue as the heat of flames. There was something in them that made my heart warm. A heart that had long since been cold. "I call you Mae, because it stands for something. It stands for the power you hold and the person I can see you become." I kept my eyes firm, hoping that the words I'd utter out of my mouth wouldn't stutter. "Oh yeah? And what would that be." He pulled away from the trance and picked his things up. He started to walk away. I, too proud to chase after, stood in my spot. Mourning the loss of my answers. He turned before existing the area and said, "The Mistress of All Evil."
