It was another morning, an ordinary morning in March. It was still cold, the sun was shining and the sky was bare of clouds. When Sakura woke up she heard the birds singing, it was very early, she could barely hear people talking, if it weren't for the light coming in from the windows it might seem like everyone was still sleeping.

But that morning was not just any morning for Sakura, that morning was going to be special, because in a few hours she was going to become an Uchiha. The night before she could barely fall asleep, she couldn't stop thinking about everything that she had in store for her from now on since she arrived at the compound the day before. What would life be like on the Uchiha estate? What will be the internal family rules? Would she feel alone? Would the whole family accept her? She barely knew Sasuke's closest relatives. She didn't know any cousins or uncles, even she didn't know if any of his grandparents were alive.

Sakura woke up with a knot in her stomach, so many things were going to happen today. She was going to be the center of attention, everyone would look at her expectantly, everyone would expect her to behave correctly, to be the perfect wife. Would everyone expect something to happen on their wedding night? That thought terrified her, did Sasuke expect something from her tonight? Maybe I should have listened to my mother when she wanted to tell me these things, she thought, now it's too late, the day has come.

Fear, insecurity, anguish, nerves. It was the only thing she could think of. To feel. "You should have more confidence in yourself" she remembered the words of her master. She breathed deeply as she closed her eyes. She got into a position to meditate, this not only increased her chakra levels but also calmed her. But a few minutes later a sound startled her and brought her out of her dazed state.

"Who's that?" Sakura asked. She imagined that someone would come look for her to have breakfast and start all the preparations.

"Can I come in?" said a female voice that Sakura knew, but she didn't quite know where to place it.

"Sure, come in," she invited to enter. When she saw the sliding door was immediately opened, revealing a medium-sized figure, with straight, long hair on the sides, dark brown almost black. She moved slowly, as she was soon going to give birth.

"Oh, good morning, Izumi," Sakura said when she realized she was Itachi's wife. She barely knew her, she only saw her the day she went to meet Sasuke and that day they didn't share words, she only interacted with Mikoto and Sasuke. With the other members she alone exchanged a few monosyllables and some embarrassing smiles.

"How are you feeling? "How did you spend the night?" she said, moving into the room and slowly sitting down, while Sakura helped her, next to Sakura. Izumi was young, probably about 6 or 7 years older than Sakura. She had eyes as black as any Uchiha, under her right eye she had a peculiar mole, which made her more attractive. Unlike the other Uchiha Sakura knew, Izumi had brown hair, although it was still dark. Sakura wondered if there were more family members with light hair, or was I going to be the one who stood out among so much dark hair? She wondered, half horrified, Sakura didn't like to stand out, that raised more doubts, would she be well received with that loud hair among the sober Uchiha palette?

"Uh.. good, thanks. How are you?" Sakura asked her, as she watched her settle between the cushions on the floor. She worried that she might be uncomfortable. Sakura was well aware of all the weight that Izumi was carrying, and the back pain that she must have. "Do you want me to bring something to drink? Have you already had breakfast?" Izumi laughed at the barrage of questions.

"Don't worry about me Sakura, I'm fine. I've come so we can have breakfast together. I wanted to spend the whole morning with you, I know how difficult this whole situation can be. And specially for you who are from another clan. I can't even imagine how hard it must be for you." She answered her while she arranged some of the cushions that she had on one of her sides, she continued "I am a member of the clan, and even so it was difficult. The nuclear family of the clan has great power. The patriarch conveys great respect, I can understand the fear you are feeling now, so whatever you need, I am here." She continued as she looked at her and brushed Sakura's long hair that fell to the side of her. "You have beautiful hair, you know that? You are going to be the center of attention today! I can't imagine it, an Uchiha with pink hair! Hahaha, I really like that. You're going to be a breath of new air for the Uchiha" she said smiling, she really seemed happy, Izumi probably wanted to be able to share everything with someone who could understand well what she was going through, being a new member for the Uchiha nuclear family.
