When the armies of both clans began to move towards Fire Country there were still decisions to be made. Naruto left with Commander Kakashi to Country of Earth to meet his wife and his newborn son. The joy and excitement of seeing his wife again and meeting his son did not fit within him. He kept informing everyone of his clan that he had already been a father, that he would soon meet him, that Sakura had said she was like him. Everyone laughed at such genuine behavior from the young and future leader of the Uzumaki clan. The joy and tranquility that Naruto showed was the result of the months spent after so much tension, fighting and death. It was over.
However, now Sasuke had to start thinking about what he was going to do and how he was going to handle it with his father. He knew that he would have the support of his brother. And, perhaps, although he had not explicitly discussed it with his cousin, it was possible that he had the support of this and other members of the clan, like Shisui, who, although he was not directly family, it was as if they were. After all, all the members of the Uchiha clan were almost like family.
His relationship with Sakura had reached a reconciliation, of which Sasuke doubted that his wife would have been open to it, after having abandoned her, but there she had been faithful and waiting for him. Furthermore, she would have been able to raise his child and protect him from the clan. But Sasuke couldn't allow that. His son had to be born into the clan and be an Uchiha, and he had to be accepted by his father, no matter how or when. But that part was still missing, the most difficult; confront his father.
Sasuke sent a letter to his brother, telling him that he would not return directly to Konoha after the war. He was going to take some time to rest and think about some matters. He did not want to be clear in the letter, but his brother would most likely intuit it, just as he left several messages for Shisui so that they could reach both Izumi and Itachi from him and Sakura. They both decided to travel for a while, spend time alone, they wanted to recover the time they hadn't had. Although Sakura was beginning to notice more discomfort, and walking long kilometers was beginning to be a little more difficult and costly, but now Sakura was not going to be alone."I hope we see each other soon," Shisui said goodbye to both Sasuke and Sakura. Sakura gave Shisui a hug, although she had barely met him at the Uchiha estate, there in battle the bonds become closer when you share moments of life or death.
"See you soon Shisui-san," Sakura replied. "I'll miss you all," the days after the last battle, in which they began to pick up and organize the return to Konoha, Sakura had received praise from the Uchihas. She felt accepted and part of the clan, she now wore the Uchiha crest with pride. Although she will always carry her mother's clan in her heart, not wanting to be forgotten by her."Sasuke... take good care of my sister-in-law..." he spoke directly to Sasuke this time with a mocking smile. Shisui considered himself the older brother of Itachi and Sasuke, although they were not family, the bond he had with the two brothers was almost like that of brothers since Shisui was an only child, and he always lacked that figure in his life. Sakura laughed at that comment, and Sasuke frowned.
"See you soon, Shisui. Remember what I told you," Sasuke reminded him of the message he gave to his brother.
"Don't worry..." he reassured him, knowing that this was important to Sasuke. "See you soon," he said as he walked away from the couple, saying goodbye with a warm smile. On the other hand, Obito, despite having had prejudices towards Sakura after learning that she was a Senju, in the battle regained all his respect for the young woman. Because there is no better way to show your loyalty than with actions, and Sakura proved to be not a threat to the clan but a powerful ally. They also said goodbye to him, telling Sakura that she hoped to see her again soon at the compound, and that he should take care of her because his next descendant should be where it belonged, with the Uchihas. Obito was very conservative, but despite that he accepted the young Senju without thinking, not only because she had shown loyalty to the clan but because she made his little cousin happy.
