The chamber was filled with soft laughter and the gentle evening wind blowing fresh air in the muffled room. The lovebirds haven't left the room for days and it was time to let some oxygen in again. The dark room was lit with several candles, casting a warm glow on their faces. Jace sat on a chair in front of a mirror while Vaella walked around him, frowning, a small knife clutched tightly in her hand.

"I don't know, Jace.", Vaella tapped the knife tensley with her finger. "Come on!", Jace chuckled, throwing his head back to look at her with puppy eyes. "Alright.", she sighed, placed the knife on a strand of his hair and smoothed it down. "That's a bad idea.", Vaella murmured as she cut off the first strand with squinted eyes.

The horror of the result was written all over her face, a gasp escaping her throat at the sight. "This is your fault!", Vaella couldn't help but start to laugh. "What have you done? I look like a damned stray dog!", Jace desperatlely tried to fix the mess on his head. "I told you it was a bad idea!", Vaella still struggled to mantain her laughter.

"Oh, you'll pay for that!", Jacaerys approached her and dragged her towards the bed. He pushed her down and laid on top of her before placing fierce kisses on her neck and face. Vaella giggled at the tickling feeling before realization dawned on her. She lifted his face to look him in the eyes. "Rhaenyra will kill me.", this time Jace was the one to burst out in laughter at the quandary of the other.

Vaella thinks about the memory as she watches Jacaerys deformed hair flowing in the wind. The two of them are leaning against the railing of the ship that brings them to Kingslanding. The tension is evident in Jace's composure and Vaella ruffles through his hair to ease it a bit. It isn't much but it distracts him from looking at the water, lost in his thoughts and fears.

Their eyes meet and Jace takes her hand for a bit of support, tracing the lines on it. "It will go well. Lucerys won't lose his claim. It just can't happen.", Vaella mumbles, her gaze fixed on him. "It's not just that. They will look at us again. Everybody will wait for one of us to make a mistake. Lucerys is not the only one whose legitimacy is being questioned here, unofficially at least."

"I know. But we'll make it through, all of us.", Vaella tries reassure him. Though she can't help but also feel some sort of happiness at the circumstances. She is determined to find out about the lack of letters from Helaena, or anybody of her family. The bird's caw above them. A sign that they will soon reach the harbour.

Jacaerys took Luke with him to the courtyard while Vaella wandered through the halls of the Red Keep. Many things had changed in here. More green, more stars, less red. She reaches Helaena's chambers. The doors are open and she peaks a glance through it. Jaehaerys and Jaehaera are playing on the ground, a maid watching them while Helaena embroiders silently.

Vaella slowly approaches the couch she is sitting on and let's her body fall next to her's. Helaena lifts her gaze the slightest bit only to lower it directly at her sight. A frown appears on Vaella's face. Why is everbody avoiding her. "Why don't you answer my letters anymore?", she asks to ease her confusion. "I cannot say.", Helaena mumbles after a while. Her attention still focused on her embroidery.

"Why, Helaena? Why are all of you avoiding me?", Vaella asks further her gaze unwavering and almost desperate. Helaena feels the weight of her sister's look and slowly faces her. "Tears from the sky will overthrow the lily and lightnings will struck everything from her. You will come home alone.", Helaena says in some kind of rush and widens her eyes.

She is looking right through Vaella, as if she is seeing something right now. Her eyes glassy and horrofied. Helaena exits the room quickly, leaving Vaella with no explanation or answers. She does not understand. But it seemed as if Heleana herself was suprised of what she said. A new information for her too. It has to do something with the future. A warning, that is for sure. Only for what?
