While it was rather odd how I was watching some guy I talked to online pour his heart out onto the stage, it was also rather impressive how moving his words were. I watched as Monoma, Kendo and their classmates dance around stage in medieval costumes, clashing swords and singing folk tunes. It wasn't as loud or bright as 1A, but 1B had a comfort you could only get from deep within. Like a bowl of warm soup served to you on a chilly winter's day, their play warmed a place in my heart as I watched them diligently portray the resilience of being a hero.
When they bowed on stage, the crowd roared, majority of it from their parents, but the proudest cheers you will ever hear. The curtains closed and I watched their feet scurry off the stage from the gap at the foot of the red curtain.
Unlike 1A who had relaxed backstage after their bone chilling performance, 1B was up and at it after giving a heart warming one of their own. Monoma boasts playfully as he waved his prop sword high in the air.
"Take that 1A! Our play takes the floor over your band anyday!"
"I don't know their concert was pretty killer," I joke, resting against the wall as I watched them play around.
"Who are you to say such a thing?" Monoma scoffs as he waltzed over to me, hands crossed.
"Relax princess, I'm joking, your play was awesome." I push his arms down so they fall loosely to his sides. "It's (Y/n), by the way."
"(Y/n)?" A silver head jumps up from the crowd of bunched up classmates, followed suit by an orange one.
"TetsuTetsu Hi! Kendo you too!"
"(Y/n)! It's good to see you." Kendo smiles ear to ear as she places a hand on my shoulder.
"What did you think of our manly play!" Tetsutetsu exclaims pumping his fists in the air.
"Awesome, very manly." I give him a fist bump as he barres his shiny teeth at me.
"Prez?" A girl with black hair calls out. "Who's this?"
"This girl? Irrelevant." Monoma flicks his hair sarcastically and Kendo hits him square.
"This is (Y/n), she's our friend from Shiketsu." Kendo answers in Monoma's stead.
