NOTE:  Parts of this chapter get a bit fanficy meaning like stuff that didnt happen in the show. Its just a flashback to progress the story along and no its not a ship. More of season 3 proper will be adapted in the next chapters :)

Almost as soon as Miguel got out of surgery and laid back into his hospital bed, he was practically rushed by his mother, Carmen, and his yiayia (Grandma). 

"Oh Miggy..."She hugged him tightly, crying into his shoulder, "We were so worried..". Her tears must have been contagious because they quickly spread to Miguel, his eyes too now like a waterfall at the sight of his Mom's sobbing.

"Mom, it's okay.." He sniffled, wiping his tears away with his arm, "Plus.. even if the surgery failed, I would have been fine.. a little more Revenge Of the Sith but overall fine."

"Your not funny, you know that right?" She gave her son a light smack on his forehead, the two laughing a little bit.

"Fue un poco divertido.. (Was a little funny)"

"Mamá, no estás ayudando. (Mom, your not helping)" She sighed before turning back to Miguel. "Oh and we need to thank your sensei for paying most of the bill, I didn't see him when he came in."

"Mister Lawrence..?" Miguel looked confused, having not been on speaking terms with him in a few weeks.

"Oh uh no, the other one. The Doctors said it was from someone called John Kreese-" Before she could properly finish her sentence, somebody else stepped into the room. Though his haircut gave him away straight away, the spikes being tall enough to the point Miguel could still see them even with his mom right next to him.

"Oh.. shit sorry!" Hawk tracked back out of the room, "I didn't know he already had visitors." 

"No.. no its okay," Carmen said, "Your Miggys friend, uh Spikes right..?" 

"Hawk, not spikes." Though being a little overly worried about coming off rude in front of his friends mom, he quickly tried to correct himself, "But uh you can call me spikes if you really want I guess.." He forced a laugh, now feeling very awkward.

"Alright, would you just give us 30 seconds please..?" She smiled, "We wont be too long we promise."

"Okay, take as long as you need.." Hawk nodded, stepping back and waiting outside.

"Just.. remember to say thanks to your sensei, alright Miggy?" She smiled, before stepping away and walking out along with his yiayia. Hawk walked back in soon after.

"Yo El serpiente, you good?" Hawk dapped him up, "Not too long now before your back up to being a total badass, am I right?" He smirked.

"Well errr.." He paused, "I don't know man.. I mean the doctor said it could still take weeks before I'm able to walk again.. well that is only 𝗶𝗳 I'm able to walk again."

"Hey!" Hawk raised his voice a bit, "That's some pussy shit, your gonna walk again. Your- Your the king cobra, All valley champ, but mainly.. your Miguel fuckin' Diaz.. your the toughest guy I know." Miguel smirked at his comment.

"Look, If-.." He paused. "𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗻 I'm able to walk again, I'll get straight back to the dojo, I promise."

"Good man." Hawk, stepped back, "Oh and uh by the way, It's not too long before Robby Keene gets out". Miguel's interest was peaked at this, "So make sure your recovery's sooner rather than later, alright?"

"Yeah, alright man." 

Hawk stepped away, leaving the room and stepping back into the hall way. He sighed, despite what he said the truth was that he didn't really think that Miguel was gonna walk again in all honesty. But that's what best friends are for, they'll give you hope, motivation through anything. No matter the circumstances. Though Hawk's happy mood didn't last too long with what he saw  next, or rather 𝘄𝗵𝗼 he saw next. Right down the hall, stood Sam Larusso, girl who ,in hawks mind, was the bitch that caused all this. The two walked towards each other, with her trying to avoid looking at him.
