Elaine and Maricela left us to our house after we said our goodbyes. After that, Elijah headed straight to his room, and the house fell quiet. I couldn't hear a single thing as other things were already occupying my mind.
I entered my room, shutting the door behind me. I threw my bag onto the floor and then lied back on my bed, staring at the ceiling. My room was a disaster, so it would be the best time to tidy up now before my grandmother shows up tomorrow. I've barely spent time with her when I was younger, but whenever I did.. She was a huge critic, always judging all of us.. especially my father.I began to pick up clothes, throwing them into the bin since most are all dirty. The clean ones that were left on my bed, I folded them and put them away in my closet. Before I closed my closet.. I stared at all my clothes. I really have to throw out or donate some clothes. I have to much clothes I don't wear anymore, so hopefully I can give some away after break to someone who will love them.
After that, I picked up some books that fell off my shelf. I quickly dusted them off before arranging them into their place. As I rearranged everything in my shelf, I began to feel this unusual feeling..
With that, my heartbeat accelerated faster than usual. However I ignored the feeling and kept on clearing my room. I had moved onto my bed that was pushed against the wall. On this side, there was a window besides my bed. However, I didn't have curtains yet.. My last ones ripped apart.
I quickly made my bed and jumped into it, tucking myself under the duvet. At that, I stared at the ceiling.
This uneasy feeling started to fade away as I drifted into the darkness.
I was back in the woods.
It was a dim, starry night with the nocturnal creatures echoing through the trees. The moonlight filtered through the branches, creating a beautiful pattern of light and shadow all around me. I observed everything around me, admiring the enchanting vision.
At that moment, I felt all my worries and thoughts fade away. The feeling of tranquility replaced all of my distress.
However, as much as I wish that feeling would stay with me forever.. It didn't and instead I felt something familiar I had felt last time.
I felt familiar eyes on me, I heard twigs break under their feet as I did last time. I froze in the spot, my breathing becoming heavier with my heartbeat. The being I sensed wasn't human but I couldn't figure out what it was.
I closed my eyes and opened them before forming fists with my hands. "Who's there?!" I yelled, looking all around me, desperately trying to find something. My fangs enlarged at that, my eyes shifting colors. "What do you want from me?!"
I kept on shouting into the darkness, my voice echoing throughout the forest. I frantically looked everywhere, trying to spot anything that might've been wathing me the whole time.
However, all of it was useless since nothing came foward. I was hoping to see the woman from my other dream.. I had so many questions, and thoughts I wanted to express.
Then, I realized it was the woman I saw in my last dream. However, this time she wore a long navy dress adorned with silver ornaments. Still, I couldn't make out her features in this darkness.
"Sweet doll.. you've returned." Murmured the tall woman, strolling closer as I instinctively moved back. "I didn't think you would have returned so soon to me." She softly remarked.
Her movements stopped once I was back against the tree and she stood closely to me. I looked up at her, seeing her features clearly. "Who are you..?" I asked as fear began to fill my body. My heartbeat was still pounding in my chest, I felt my face heat up from how close she was to me.
She tilted her head with a smile. "Seressa, sweet doll." The woman quietly replied, her long fingers entangling themselves in my dark hair. I gulped, trembling under her touch. "Y-you're not going to hurt me..?" I stuttered, looking into her brown orbs.
Seressa sighed, shaking her head. "No, darling." She said, her eyes never leaving mine.
The woman was so close to me, her warmth wrapping around me. I couldn't focus on trying to figure out what she was.. I was too nervous and I felt foreign emotions take over me!
I mustered all the courage in me to speak up once again. "Who — what are you?" I questioned her before pushing away from her. Seressa looked away, her red locks covering her expression.
Suddenly a chuckle came from her, she crossed her arms, and looked at me. "Curious rabbit.. Do you really want to know?" She quietly questioned me, her eyes staring straight into mine.
I shook my head, running my fingers through my hair. "Why am I here.. This is fucking useless." I whispered, facing away from her. In an instant, I found myself pushed against a tree with as she hovered over me with her arms pinning me back.
"You will find out with time.. but this isn't for nothing." She assertively stated, gritting her teeth before she slowly let me go. She composed herself before speaking up. "You're practically a baby vampire.. You hardly tapped into your full strengths and comprehensions, darling."
I stood still, taking in everything that had just occurred. I looked back at her, just to see her eyeing me. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to.. I just lost a bit of control." She apologized, keeping her distance.
"It's okay.. I was actually hoping to see you." I began. "But you keep on talking in weird terms.. How did you know I was a vampire? A new one at that!" I asked, tilting my head.
She laughed, intertwining her fingers together. "You aren't the only supernatural creature here. I could sense it from the last time I saw you."
Of course she was a supernatural woman! I couldn't figure out what she was though.. I've always been able to sense werewolves, witches, other vampires but more than that I just couldn't. Well I could, but I couldn't place a name of them like other vampires could. Then again, my abilities weren't as developed as they should be by now.
"How — why do I keep on seeing you..?" I quietly asked, fidgeting with my fingers. "It doesn't make sense.. I've never seen you before in person."
She exhaled, slowly making her way closer to me. This time I didn't dare to back away, I stood there in place. Seressa began to steadily, and gently caress my face with her fingers.
I looked up at her, observing her soft yet defined features. My pulse rate elavated from gazing at her beauty, and my whole body ached for her.. I felt this warmth and intimacy wrapping itself all around me, pulling me closer to her. It was strange feeling this towards anyone, but it was something that made me feel complete. I still couldn't understand why I felt like this.
"Please.. I don't understand." I gently grasped her wrist, her fingers going through my hair. She slowly shook her head. "I need you to trust me, darling.. You will figure everything out." She whispered before disappearing into thin air.
I opened my eyes, gasping for air as I looked wildly looked all around me.
"Elijah!" I cried out, tears stuffing my eyes. Gasping for air, I yanked my duvet to the side, tears spilling down my cheek. "Elijah.." I whispered softly.
My door swung open, revealing Elijah standing there with a confused expression filling his face. "Irina.. what happened?" He came closer, sitting besides me. His hand grabbed mine, gently squeezing it. "Talk to me."
I looked at him, hesitant to speak. "I..I have s..something to tell you." I mumbled, looking into his blue eyes.
