TW: Drinking
Three nights later...George's POV:
I couldn't help it. I just wanted one more...
I shouldn't be doing this...
I managed to steal my older sister's ID card and sneak into the local gay bar. I know that the card suggested that I'm a 22 year old girl, but we're all drunk so who gives a shit? Other queer men and women, closeted and out, were all chatting and partying. And boy, was it loud.I reached out to hand the bartender one more dollar. This was NOT what I was supposed to do with my money.
"One more shot?" She asked, flipping her dark brown hair out of her face. "Yes...Ineedit" I said, scrambling my words together. She handed me a small glass and I drank away my sorrow. I set the glass back down and decided to head out. I had enough. I stumbled across the room and almost fell on to a girl who goes to my school. She immediately turned around and faced me. "I'm so sorry." She apologized and helped me up. "George, isn't it?" She gave me a quizzical look as I hesitated to respond. "Yes, George." I answered. "Oh, my name is Aphrodite." She said. Her name said it all. She was a beautiful girl, tall, slim, with tan skin and dark brown hair. She was an ideal girlfriend. "My parents would love her." I thought to myself. Maybe I was just too drunk to think straight about what I was about to do, but I grabbed Aphrodite by the arm and led her out of the room. "Wait! What are you doing to me?!" She tried to squirm out of my arms. I led her to the outside of the bar. We stood alongside the cobblestone walls in the moonlight, the stars reflecting on her eyes. "I need to talk to you." I managed to say. Why was I doing this already? I had just met her! She looked very confused, but I explained the whole situation that my parents put me in. After the lecture, Aphrodite gave me the same quizzical look that she had given me before, although she expressed more concern. "So, you are telling me that I need to be your fake girlfriend so you can convince your parents that you are not gay?" I nodded. "I'm flattered." She smugly responded. I let out a sigh of relief.
Aphrodite grinned."$50 per night."
"Deal."
