GEORGE'S POV:
I left school that day with nothing on my mind but Edward's artwork. He is so talented. I know that he was drawing me, but I don't mind at all. I was ecstatic. He admires me! As I entered my house, I noticed my parents' voices, deep in conversation. I could make out my name and no other words. "Oh, no," I thought. "They are talking about me. What did I do wrong this time?"
I don't usually get in trouble, but I could tell that their conversation had to do with something surrounding me.
I quietly made my way up the wooden stairs and into the dining room, where they were sitting with a serious expression on their faces.
"Son," my father started. "Your mother and I have been talking, and we think that it's time for you to find a girlfriend." I felt anger rise in my body, but I held it back the best I could. My parents never knew that I dated at school, and now they expect me to find a girlfriend. I've practically dated every single girl! How am I supposed to pull this off? My parents must have seen the anger on my face, because my father gestured for me to take a seat. "Let us explain," my mother added. "You're almost 17, we think that it is time. You've never dated before, whereas most of your friends have. At this age, you should probably give it a shot. Who knows? You might find your future wife!" My leg started bouncing under the table. "We'll leave you to think about it, but we expect you to invite a girl to dinner soon, or else we will find one for you." With that, they left the room. I could not believe that they were doing this to me! I ran upstairs to my bedroom and locked the door. I sat by the window, tears flooded my face. What am I supposed to do?
AUTHOR'S POV:
George walked over to his desk to do his homework, perhaps to take his mind off of the whole endeavor.
Just then, something on his desk caught his eye. His wallet layed at the corner of the wood desktop, money spilling out of it. He put his hands on the soft leather and opened it. It was all of his savings. It was then that the idea hit him."If I can't find a girlfriend," He thought,
"I'll buy one."
