This day felt like the worst of your life. Your phone had been buzzing non-stop with calls and messages from friends, coworkers, and acquaintances—each one demanding to know if it was real. The leaked video. The scandal. You and Soobin.
Yoo Jin tried to reassure you that the drama would die down eventually. But nothing helped. What broke you completely were the online blogs and comment sections. You knew you shouldn't have looked—but curiosity, or maybe pain, pulled you in.
user1: she's a bitch!user2: she dares to flirt with my oppa? I'll kill her.user3: she's not even pretty. Why would Soobin oppa settle for so little?user4: she's probably his fuck-doll.user5: calm down guys, this girl needs a big break haha.user6: she might be good at it.user7: i hope this isn't real and i hope she dies.user8: she's framing my poor dolphin.user9: eew bitch!user10: this better be fake or this bitch dies.
You threw your phone onto the bed, buried your face in your pillow, and cried. Each comment chipped away at your soul. It was funny, in a dark, bitter way—how people stayed silent when someone did good, but wasted no time when it came to tearing them down. Like they were waiting. Like cruelty was entertainment. You threw your phone onto the bed, buried your face in your pillow, and cried.

A week passed. Still no word from Soobin. Instead, you saw him smiling in commercials, posing for magazine shoots, doing interviews like nothing had happened. So maybe user4 was right. After all, he is a fucking celebrity. He seemed fine. Like seven days were enough for him to move on. But you weren't. You couldn't. You were angry, and you wanted to hate him. But you couldn't.
Because you loved him.

You were at home, trying to distract yourself with chores, trying to self-heal. But the ache hadn't left your chest. And then—you heard your window move. You turned, startled. Soobin was climbing in.
"You?!" Your voice rose in disbelief and rage. You rushed to him, grabbed his arm, and shoved him toward the door. "Get out!" You snapped. "Wait, [Your Name]-ah! Please—just listen!" he pleaded, his eyes desperate. "No! I don't want to pay for your mistakes!" you snapped, those cold words from his manager still fresh in your mind.
Soobin flinched. "Please, let me explain." You hated this. Hated seeing him beg. Hated yourself for still wanting to hear him out. Tears gathered again in your eyes. "Why are you here?" You asked, your voice breaking. "For you, [Your Name]," he said softly. But your brain wouldn't believe it, even if your heart screamed to.
"Just leave me, Soobin. I am nothing. You are The Choi Soobin, and I..." You let out a sob. "I'm nothing. I'm nothing," you whispered again, broken. Soobin stepped closer. "But to me, you're everything." You stared at him, your eyes wide, trembling. "What?"
"Yes, [Your Name]. You're my everything. I love you." The words hit you like a wave. You had seen his care. You had felt his comfort. But he had never said those words out loud—until now. "When the news broke, my company locked everything down. They confiscated my phone. They wouldn't let me contact you. They wanted to protect their brand, not me," he said, his voice cracking.
"They threw me into commercials and promos to bury the scandal. I couldn't reach you. I wanted to—God, I needed to." And in that moment, the wall around your heart cracked. "I love you, [Your Name]," he repeated as he pulled you into his arms. "I love you too," you whispered through your tears.
"I missed you to death." You lifted your head and kissed him—deep, desperate, trembling. Tears still streamed down your face as your lips moved against his. He pulled you into a hug, his arms wrapping around you, protective, safe.
"I love you," he whispered. "You're mine." He said, planting a kiss on your head. You cried through the pain, holding him tighter, feeling every inch of him and every word. Holding you at arms's length, he leaned in and kissed you one more time.
"I love you," he said softly. "I love you too," you replied, a small smile breaking through your tears.
[A/N: Hey readers! I just want to take a moment to say—if any of the comment section scenes upset or triggered you, I sincerely apologize. My goal was to portray the harsh reality of public hate, especially towards women connected to male idols. I know this story is fictional, but the hate some real people face is very real. Thank you for reading, and please take care of yourselves.]
