The next morning, Soobin sat beside you on the couch, your fingers intertwined with his as he stared at his phone screen in deep thought. He was about to do something big. After everything—the rumors, the backlash, the silence—he wanted to set the record straight. For good.
"I think I should post it," he said, glancing at you for reassurance. You hesitated. "Are you sure? Once it's out, there's no going back." He nodded. "I want clarity. For you, for me, for us." Then, with your soft nod of approval, he uploaded a photo—a sweet, candid shot of the two of you smiling, your faces close and carefree—and paired it with a heartfelt caption.
Hey guys,
I know the past few days have been overwhelming, and I'm sorry for not speaking sooner.
The girl in that video—she's the one I love.
We met some months ago and have been in love ever since.
I know not everyone will understand, but I believe my true fans will support us, and I hope you can send her the same love you've always given me.
Thank you for sticking by me. 💙The internet exploded. But this time... it wasn't filled with hatred. Support poured in from fans all around the world. People commented with hearts, messages of strength, and blessings for your relationship. There were still haters, of course—but the love was louder now.
His company hadn't been thrilled about Soobin making such a bold move without their approval, but eventually, they backed off. He had made his choice—and he wasn't going to hide anymore. You, too, received waves of positivity—DMs, comments, and even letters thanking you for making Soobin happy. The shadows of hate still existed, but they were no longer all-consuming. Love, for once, was winning.
You even met the other four members of his group not long after—and to your relief, they welcomed you with open arms. It was safe to say you liked them, and they liked you too.
Meanwhile, Ho Yeon had been losing her mind ever since the news went public. Sure, she once had a dream of marrying Soobin herself—but now, she was happily settling for calling him Uncle Soobin. She'd gone from sulking dramatically to bragging about you both to her friends. Your mom couldn't stop laughing every time she heard her say things like, "My uncle Soobin is famous, and my [Your Name]-imo is even more famous!"
And life was finally starting to feel... normal. Soobin visited you regularly. You went out less, stayed in more. Even though some coworkers (mostly jealous girls in your office) threw side-eyes and passive-aggressive comments, they were harmless. Immature, but easy to ignore.
As for Yoo Jin—he had found himself a dangerously hot boyfriend and had been too busy getting ruined (his words, not yours) to properly congratulate you. But when he did message, it was always heartfelt and real. If there was one person you knew was genuinely happy for you, it was Yoo Jin.

Tonight, you were at Soobin's apartment having a homemade dinner date. The lights were soft, the air warm, the food surprisingly amazing. "I hope the food's good," he said, eyes twinkling as you took another bite. "Of course it is," you replied, savoring every flavor. "But I am curious about dessert."You asked. "How about me?" he asked with a mischievous smile. You smirked. "I'd like that too." You both laughed, the tension melting into joy.
Later, you were curled up on the couch when Soobin stood up and turned to you. "Stand up," he said suddenly. "What?" You blinked. "Come on. Just stand up." Curious, you got up. "I love you," he said, completely out of the blue. You laughed, flustered. "I love you too, Soobin-ah," you replied, cheeks warm. And then... he dropped to one knee.
Your breath hitched. You stared, stunned. He looked up at you with the same warmth he always had—but now there was something even deeper behind his eyes.
"I don't want to beat around the bush," he began. "You already know how much I love you. You already know you're the one I want to come home to every night. So..." He pulled out a ring from his pocket. "Will you marry me?" Even though a part of you had seen it coming, you still froze. Your heart raced. Your hands trembled.
He waited patiently, smiling up at you like you were his whole world. And finally—you smiled through tears. "Yes. Yes, I will." You laughed and cried all at once as he slid the ring onto your finger. "It's beautiful," you whispered, staring at it. "So are you," he said softly.
You blushed, and he pulled you into his arms. His lips met yours in a kiss that was gentle, warm, and dreamy—the moonlight from the window casting silver light on the two of you as if the universe itself was blessing this moment.
"I love you, [Your Name]-ah," he whispered again, holding you close. "I love you too, Soobin-ah," you replied, your heart full. And for the first time in forever, everything felt just right.
