The day went on a pretty good note. Arushi and me moving to Kashmir and Arushi getting her biggest surprise in form of her best friend, her Bhalu. Siddhant, Vashishth sir's son came out to be Arushi's best friend so we didn't need to go on a hunt operation. They eventually sorted up everything and nothing could be better than seeing Arushi so happy.

She was mingling well with everyone and now that Siddhant, Harshita and Sandhya Ma'am already knew her, I would feel a little less worried about her feeling all alone between these unknown people. And after today's scene I could say, she'll bond well with Payal and Harshita as well.

I had went to meet Vashishth sir as well and except the duty things, he asked me about this new changes of life and I replied honestly that I was liking this. He was strict and rough during official work time but apart from that, he too considered our whole team as his family. I would introduce Orchid to him soon, though I wanted to do it today, I postponed the plan thinking she must be having a lot to catch up with Siddhant. And as I thought, she really had, since the bickering and teasing session went on till evening even after I and Fahad were back from our meeting with Vashishth Sir.

The welcoming then chatting session went too long with everyone, specially Orchid enjoying all of those leg pulling and banters. After they all left taking our leave, Arushi went to our bedroom so I followed her, not knowing what else to do right now. The quarter needed to be set up but I want to have her preferences on it so I'll keep that thought aside for now. She must be tired today so we'll start it tomorrow.

I entered into our room and found her looking around the room with shiny eyes. But she instantly turned back when she sensed my presence in the room. “Ansh”, she chirped and took me in a sudden hug. I didn't get the reason but she was happy and smiling so it would be worth it. I hugged her back and sensed her shoulders visibly easing up in my arms. “Tired?

Not much. I had this banters with Sid after so longgg!”, she added a few extra letters in ‘long’ showing its depth and I was genuinely happy for her. Social norms says I should be mad or at least feel bad about my wife having a ‘male’ best friend but for me more than the gender, I see Siddhant as a support to her. She has, of course, told me about how they were friends since preschool time and how he was the only one who has stick with her through all the thick and thins. So I was just relieved that she had a friend like him when she needed someone the most.

Enjoyed it na?”, I asked backing off a little and tucking her hair behind her ear. She nodded with a grin making me smile as well. “What were you looking around?”, I asked again and she stood straight, breaking the hug. “The room, it's minimalistic but giving such a cozy vibe and this part is my favourite part of the room”, she said sitting on the small space in front of the window. It was like a small storage space underneath then a mattress over it and of course, it had to be her favourite since the view outside is the colourful Kashmiri flowers.

We can have evening coffee sitting here”, she suggested tapping on the empty spot beside her, urging me to sit along. I followed obediently and sat beside her. “Hmm, it seemed to be a nice idea

I said and she leaned to my shoulder looking out of the window. I wrapped my arm around her waist and kissed the crown of her head. She snuggled more comfortably but then backed off, standing up with a jerk. “Sorry I forgot

Huh? What?”, I asked following her actions, confused. “The dinner, I mean it's not made yet so I should start preparing for it”, she asserted, tying up her hair in a loose bun. This had absolutely slipped out of my mind to sort about the meals. We could have it in the academy once the official work starts but it has some time and till then we need to make it on our own.
