The storm raged, the sky torn apart by lightning as rain fell in torrents. The night was a black abyss, matching the turmoil within Alihan's heart. He rode the horse with a fierce urgency, one arm gripping the reins, the other wrapped shieldingly around Azra. Her body trembled against his, her sobs lost in the roar of the storm.
"AZRA,AZRA open your eyes," Alihan shouted, his voice barely audible over the wind. Fear gnawed at him, a foreign and unwelcome emotion. The ruthless beast, the heartless enigma, now felt terror at the thought of losing her.
They reached the gothic mansion, its dark silhouette looming like a specter against the stormy sky. Alihan dismounted swiftly, lifting Azra into his arms. She was shivering uncontrollably, her eyes half-closed, mumbling incoherently about the darkness.
Inside the mansion, the dim light cast eerie shadows on the ancient walls. Alihan kicked the door shut behind him, carrying Azra to a grand bedroom adorned in rich, dark hues. He laid her gently on the bed, his own clothes soaked and clinging to his muscular frame.
"Azra, wake up," His voice erupted in pain . He brushed her wet hair away from her face, his eyes filled with a desperate intensity.
"It's so dark... the darkness," Azra gasped in a frightened voice, her consciousness beginning to fade.
Alihan's heart pounded in his chest, a mix of fear and something else he couldn't quite name. Azra's body was burning with fever, her delicate form trembling under his touch. He knew he had to act fast to save her.
"No," Azra blurted weakly as Alihan's hands reached for the back of her dress.
"Don't," she protested, but her voice was faint, and he could see the shattered look in her eyes.
"I don't have any other option, Azra," Alihan said, his voice faltered under the weight of emotion. "I can't lose you like this."
With careful, trembling fingers, his hands move to her dress.
Alihan wrapped her in a comforter, but he knew it wasn't enough. Her body was still too hot, and the storm outside raged on, making it impossible to seek help.
With a deep breath, he removed his own shirt, revealing his chiseled chest and abs, still glistening with rainwater. He lay beside her, pulling her into his arms, his warmth enveloping her.
The feel of her delicate body against his sent a shiver down his spine, but it wasn't lust that drove him-it was a fierce, protective and affectionate need to keep her safe.
Azra's eyes fluttered open, and she gazed up at him, her expression a mixture of fear and trust. She felt an inexplicable sense of safety in his arms, despite everything that had happened. His touch, once feared, now felt like a lifeline.
