Author's POV
Alihan sat in his office, his eyes locked on the multiple screens displaying the CCTV footage from the mall. He replayed the scene over and over, watching as Azra took the dress and headed toward the trial room. She closed the door behind her, and moments later, the lights flickered and went out due to some technical error. His heart sank as the footage went dark, and for the next 20 minutes, there was nothing but silence and shadows on the screen.
When the lights finally returned, Ayce and the employees rushed to the trial room to rescue her. But no one else had entered or left that room during those 20 minutes. Alihan's frustration grew as he rewound the footage, going back 48 hours and checking every possible angle, every entrance to the mall. There were 10 possible ways someone could have come and gone, but not a single person appeared suspicious, and there was no sign of anyone other than Azra in that trial room.
The more he watched, the more it seemed as if she had hallucinated the entire event. Every piece of evidence pointed to that conclusion, but Alihan couldn't shake the feeling that something was wrong. This wasn't just another episode of Azra's trauma. It felt different, more real, more terrifying.
Erdogan Corporation owned this mall, one of the top 10 in Turkey, with the highest security measures in place. Yet, even with all the advanced technology and tight security, there was nothing to explain what had happened. No proof, no clues just a haunting emptiness in the recordings that left Alihan with more questions than answers.
His mind raced, torn between the possibility of Azra's hallucination and the chilling idea that something or someone had slipped through undetected.
__________________After ensuring the security staff had done all they could, Alihan finally returned home. The clock read 6:00 AM, and Azra was still peacefully asleep on the bed. Exhausted yet determined, he headed straight to the shower, his mind consumed with thoughts.
"Where am I missing things?
Was it really just her hallucination, or was it real?
But how could the CCTV footage be wrong?
Her eyes they weren't lying. The fear in them wasn't just imagined.
There's something I'm missing, but until I find it, I can't leave her side."
Freshly showered, Alihan changed into a sharp black three-piece suit, looking every bit the powerful and handsome figure he was known to be. But before heading out for the day, he did what had become a ritual for him. He approached Azra, who was still softly breathing in her sleep, and leaned down to place a tender kiss on her forehead.
As his lips brushed against her skin, Azra stirred. "You're... going?" she murmured in a sleepy voice.
Alihan smiled warmly. "Good morning, sweetheart."
"Good... morning," she replied, her voice heavy with sleep.
"I have a meeting this afternoon, but I'll be back as soon as possible," he said, lifting her hand and placing a soft kiss on it.
"Take care," Azra whispered, her eyes barely open.
"You too, my sweet tormentor," Alihan teased, a playful glint in his eyes as he recalled the events of the previous night.
