"Wonwoo! I'm back!" Wonwoo jumped at the sound of his moms shouts, his body shooting up to try and hide the male he knew laid beside him. But when he turned he noticed the bed was empty, a small frown growing as his eyes searched for the taller male. His room was empty, the clothes that should have littered the floor were no longer there, his own folded into a neat pile at the end of his bed. Maybe Mingyu went down to eat his mom's food? He always ate with her every time he came. Wonwoo flung his body over to land on the floor, a sharp pain accompanying him through the whole movement. He let out a pained gasp as he reached for his back, the dull aching only growing worse with each breath in. Fuck he didn't expect that. Mingyu could have at least warned him he could be limping for the next couple of days. He tried his best to pull himself off his bed without looking like he got fucked hard, but he had a feeling it would be obvious to anyone who saw him. He prayed that his mom would be too busy with Mingyu to notice his new limp.

He walked to his door slowly and made his way down the stairs, one of the most challenging things he's ever done if he can recall. It took him 10 minutes to get downstairs and to his kitchen, the smell of eggs and bacon greeting his grumbling stomach. He scanned the kitchen for his friend only to see it occupied by his mom and mom alone. He frowned again, there's no way? Did Mingyu fuck and ditch him?!

"Hey mom? Have you seen Mingyu this morning?" Wonwoo's mom turned to him with a smile, her bouncy curls turning the way Wonwoo's did when he moved. She gave him a soft smile before shaking her head,

"Nope! Figured he was busy with football, you know that boy eats as much as a five person family." He nodded at that, she was definetly not wrong. He always wondered where the food even went, images of a shirtless Mingyu flooded his mind at the thought. He blushed hard and coughed, him mom giving him a look of concern as he did. "Honey are you feeling well? You look a little flushed?" He gave her a smile and nodded, worry quickly vanishing from her face. "Good! Because I have a busy day and wouldn't be able to take care of you." He scoffed at that, mustering up his strength to walk around the counter without limping. It was a lot harder than he expected, but he just hoped his mom was busy with the eggs and not him. Although when he turned to her he found his mom watching him with curiose eyes, a ripple of anxiety flashing across his body at the sight. Seriously?! Can the universe spare him one minute of peace? Of course now his mom pays attention to his every move!

"Honey, did you hurt yourself? You look like you're in pain." His mom's eyes widened as a gasp left her mouth, "wait! Are you being bullied!" His own eyes widened at that, oh hell no.

"No mom! I'm f-" His mom didn't let him finish, her small figure running over to grab his shoulders in a tight hold.

"Son if you are you can tell me, don't be scared of them." He rolled his eyes and shook her hands off,

"It's not that mom, I just slept weird last night. I swear I'm not being bullied!"

She assessed him once more before she backed away, her face still pinched into a tight frown. "Good, because I would have had a talk with Mingyu about not protecting you."

He groaned loudly, "Mom! Mingyu is not my bodyguard."

"No but he promised me he would always protect you, and I don't like people breaking their promises."

Wonwoo's cheeks flushed a bit, Mingyu promised his mom that? His heart beat sped up a little bit, that was kinda... romantic?

"Why are you flushing like a little schoolgirl?"

He was quickly snapped from his thoughts by his mom's teasing, god way to ruin the mood.

"I'm not!"

"You definitely are honey."
