Suspension Over Part 2

I walked to the foyer but there was no one there. I walked into the assembly hall and everyone turned to look at me
Hayden: the fuck are you all looking at?
Mrs Landon: Hayden can I speak to you outside please?
I went outside but she didn't come out.
Mr Wren: you okay Hayden?
Hayden: yeah Mrs Landon wanted to speak to me so I'm waiting for her to come out.
Mr Wren: how's your day been going?
Hayden: alright
Mr Wren: where's your report?
Hayden: shit mr Jackson had it
Mr Wren: I'll go and get it
He left and Mrs Landon came out
Mrs Landon: I had an email from mr Jackson. He said you were really hard on yourself. He told me that you really struggled in today's session.
Hayden: I went up a level in reading but it was too hard. I couldn't do it. I couldn't read the words properly. I'm so stupid
Mrs Landon: you're not stupid. You have dyslexia which makes reading and writing harder for you. You went all of primary school undiagnosed which is why you're so far behind but we're gonna work together to get you to where you need to be. Mr Jackson has agreed to increase your sessions to 6 times a week. 2 during form, 2 instead of French/Spanish and 2 after school. How does that sound?
Hayden: okay I guess. Could you let dad now?
Mrs Landon: sure. we'll start from next week.
Mr Wren came over and gave me my report. I looked at it

1) keep hands to self ✅
2) Compete all work to best of ability ✅
3) no inappropriate language (including swearing) ❌
4) follow all instructions 1st time ✅
5) remain in class unless with Archie ❌
Comments: found todays lesson difficult. Really struggled with his reading. Got frustrated with himself and walked out - DJ

Mr Wren: you've had an okay day. It's better than usual but we could do better.
Mrs Landon: you ready?
Hayden: mhm
Mrs Landon: sit at the front
We walked in and I sat on the seat closest to the door. Mr Renshaw and Mrs Landon were speaking but it was so boring. I got my phone out and was messaging John
Hayden: hi
John: hey kiddo. You okay?
Hayden: yeah
John: shouldn't you be at school?
Hayden: I am but I'm really bored. I'm in assembly and they're just talking about a load of rubbish.
John: you should be listening to what they are saying?
Hayden: I can't it's just so boring and it's not interesting so I can't get myself to listen. Every time I try I just zone out. I can't concentrate. My mind is racing it's just so busy.
John: have you taken your meds?
Hayden: I can't remember. I don't think so I was in a rush this morning.
John: I'll speak to dad see if he can bring them to you
Hayden: no it's fine he's at work he won't be able to. I'll just have to manage
John: you know you can call me whenever right? I'll always answer
Hayden: I know
Mr Wren: Hayden
I looked up and he raised his eyebrows at me.
Mr Wren: you okay?
Hayden: mhm
He knelt down in front of me
Mr Wren: your leg is bouncing at like 100 mph you're getting restless. How about we go for a walk?
Hayden: okay
We got up and left the assembly hall. We went outside and played some basketball.

The bell rang and it was time for lunch. I saved a table for George and Aaliyah and after a couple minutes they came over.
Aaliyah: you okay?
Hayden: I'm fine.
We ate lunch and someone threw something at George. I looked around and Ben was laughing with his small group of friends
Hayden: you got a problem Ben?
Aaliyah: Hayden don't
Ben: yeah Hayden listen to your ugly girlfriend
I was getting wound up and ben could see that
Ben: you gonna hit me then you psycho?
I stood up and went over to him. I squared up to him and was about to hit him.
Mr Wren: Hayden!
I turned and Mr Wren was standing with his arms crossed. I looked back at Ben and he swung for me landing a punch to my jaw. As soon as I was about to swing back Mr Wren pulled me away
Ben: what you're too much of a pussy to swing back? Maybe you should do what you're told like a good boy
Mr Wren: Ben go to Mrs Landon now!
Ben: but I didn't do anything
Mr Wren: now!
I walked away punching walls as I went past.
Aaliyah: Hayden
Hayden: leave me alone

Mr Wren (Nick) pov
Nick: Hayden
Hayden: fuck off
He was punching everything in sight.
Aaliyah: Hayden please
Hayden: fuck off and leave me alone
Nick: Hayden come on let's go and talk
Hayden: I'm gonna fucking smash his stupid fucking face in. Fucking prick
I turned to Aaliyah
Nick: let me handle this. He's gonna say things he doesn't mean and I don't want it to upset you. The bells gonna go off any minute so you should head to lesson.
Aaliyah left and Hayden went outside.
Nick: Hayden come on let's go and calm down
Hayden: I wanna go home
Nick: you know I can't do that. Let's go and talk
Hayden: I don't wanna fucking talk. I just wanna go home. I'm done with this fucking place and I'm never coming back. You can all go fuck yourselves.
I radioed for some help
Nick: any teachers available to help me with a student outside near the gate
??: who is it?
Nick: Hayden Stones
??: I'll come over
Mr Jackson (David) and Archie came over followed by Mrs Landon (Tanya) and Miss Jackson (Nancy).
Nick: we don't want you to get into trouble
Hayden: I'm already in trouble
Nick: you're not
He began climbing the gate and had one leg over.
Tanya: think about this Hayden. You go over that fence and you'll be in serious trouble
Hayden: if I don't leave I'm gonna smash his head in and I don't wanna get in trouble.
Archie: come down and talk to us about it
David: I know you're probably having some big feelings right now and it's overwhelming isn't it?
Hayden just nodded
Hayden: everything's just so loud
David: how about you get down and we'll help you? You have 2 choices Hayden. Make the right one.
He got down and we walked to a meeting room. We all sat down.
Archie: what happened Hayden?
Hayden: nothing
David: we can't help you unless you talk to us
Hayden: fine Ben was being a prick
Tanya: what did he do?
Hayden: he threw something at George so I asked what his problem was. Aaliyah told me to not get into it with Ben. Ben said to listen to my ugly girlfriend. I was already wound up and he was just pissing me off. He asked if I was gonna hit him and called me a psycho. I squared up to him and was gonna hit him until mr Wren said my name. I looked at him then looked at Ben then he punched me. I was gonna hit him back but Mr Wren pulled me away.
Tanya was writing what Hayden was saying down. I could see that he was still quite angry.
Nick: Hayden come with me
