As we entered our cabin, the atmosphere felt thick with awkwardness. Everyone seemed to be lost in their thoughts, staring at each other with uncertain expressions. I could sense the boredom creeping in, and it made me restless.

"Hey, guys," I said, trying to break the silence. Suddenly, all eyes turned to me. Oh no, what have I done? My stomach twisted with nerves.

I took a deep breath, steadying myself. "Um, I was wondering if you guys wanted to play a game that I brought?"

"Sure!" Eva chimed in, her British accent ringing out like a bell. Eva was one of my favorite people at camp-her energy was infectious, and she had a way of making even the dullest moments feel exciting.

I rummaged through my backpack and pulled out the box of **Apples to Apples**. "Okay, let's do this!" I said, trying to sound more confident than I felt.

Soon, everyone formed a circle on the cabin floor, and we began to play. Laughter erupted as we took turns matching cards, each round more ridiculous than the last. I loved seeing everyone's personalities shine through the game. Even the shyest campers started to open up, sharing funny stories and inside jokes as we played.

Just as the game was getting really heated, one of our counselors, Natalie, popped her head in. "Okay, guys! Who wants to go to the Senior Social?"

"What's Senior Social?" Amelie asked, looking intrigued.

Natalie grinned. "It's a hangout for the older campers while the little ones are tucked into bed. There are games, snacks, and music-lots of fun!"

I exchanged glances with Amelie and Eva, and we all nodded in agreement. "That sounds awesome!" I exclaimed, feeling a rush of enthusiasm.

After a quick discussion, we decided to head to the Senior Social. We gathered our things and made our way out of the cabin, the night air cool and refreshing against my skin.
