I got out of bed, rubbing my eyes as adjusted to the light. I opened the door to my room and headed towards the front door. I opened it.

I only managed to open it just a little, a small crack on the door. I was greeted with him.

My neighbor.

I don't really talk to him, nor do I greet him when I see him. The thing is, he's really innocent looking, just very quiet and works in an alleyway, selling hotdogs and other varieties of food. He's pretty buff and has a fair amount of muscle. He's definitely taller than me and most people I see. What's strange is that he goes by an abandoned place that is restricted...

Wait.

How do I know that?

He never told me that he goes there.

We don't talk

We don't see each other often

So.

How did I know he goes to an abandoned place after he's done with work?

I must be delusional.

I stared at him at the crack of my door.

"Morning, sir. Have you seen a mailman drop anything off at my place?"
He asked.

"...n-no sir. I haven't even gone outside infact. I just woke up as well."
I managed to stutter out, clenching the door knob.

He just stared at me and nodded his head, walking back to his apartment room.

I also stared at him, watching him as he entered his apartment room. I stood there, completely dumbfounded. I think that was our first ever conversation together.

I closed my door and locked it, turning around as I forgot about something. I need to go back to the police station to ask if they found any evidence about Dong. It's been I believe three days without him already.

As I got into new pairs of clothes, I slipped into my jacket and got out of my apartment room. I walked down the stairs, taking a glance at that room. That horrible kitten accident. I don't want to even think about it. That smell still sinks as ever. I walked past the apartment owners office and headed towards the police station... Once I get there....I thought... I'll give them Dong's pen. The pen I found on the floor at the kitten accident... I hope they find Dong. Hopefully he's alive, breathing.
