Blake's POV:I browse through the many books that's littering the shelf. "There's so many books here. Which one are you looking for?" I ask running my fingers over a few covers.
"It's the one about the Quileutes. Legends about them," Bella answers with a sigh from the other side of the shelf.
I nod with a soft hum as I continue skirting through the names. Not it. Nope not even close. Hmm, I pull a book out and read the cover. The Quileutes Legends.
"Found it, Bells," I announce walking around the shelf and she meets me at the end. I hand it over and she looks it over quickly.
It should be it. There's no other way it can't be it. "It is. Good looking out, Blake," she says chuckling as I puff out my chest proudly.
"Great let's get it and go to the restaurant. I'm starving," I say wrapping my arm around her shoulders and guide us over to the cashier.
Bella set down the book and a few others that I didn't notice until now. "Book nerd," I mutter with a chuckle and playfully wince when Bella elbows my stomach.
"Jerk. Thanks," she tells me before telling the cashier as she gave him the exact amount before he held the bag containing the books out. She grabs it with a smile.
We began walking out. "Have a good night," The cashier calls out in a friendly tone. I like him. He seems nice.
"Thanks. You too sir," I respond politely and hold open the door for Bella who thanks me while walking out.
Dang it's already getting dark. I hope we're not making the girls wait on us. "Want me to give you a piggy back ride?" I ask as we walk along the sidewalk.
She raised an eyebrow at me. "Are you just asking because you want to get there faster for the food?" She retorts making me give her a sheepish smile.
Bella rolls her eyes with a chuckle. "No I don't want one. We'll get there in a few minutes. You can wait," she says and I groan loudly while throwing my head back.
She shakes her head with a giggle. "Come on you big baby. It's only a few blocks," she says slipping her arm around mine to pull me forward.
I sigh heavily as we walk down a path that leads to an alleyway. It's like a shortcut we found on the way here.
Bella's breathe hitched and her grip tightens around my arm making me look ahead finding two guys drunkenly walking towards us.
I step forward just in case they try something but Bella grabs my jacket. "Don't. Let's just go down the other path. You don't need to get in a fight right now, Blake," she pleads with me and my jaw clenches.
I nod while pulling away from her and turned her around then pushed her a little ahead. I'm behind her just in case those guys decide to do something stupid.
We get to a big parking lot. "Saw you girls at the dress store. Hey, where you girls running to?" A guy behind us calls out.
"Oh there they are," my head snaps up and instantly I go on defense as more guys show up in front of us.
"What's up? It's my girls," the one in front of us says as they walk towards us carrying booze. Bella stops in her tracks and backs up into me.
"It would be in your guys best interest to leave us alone. Cause if you don't, you're gonna end up with broken bones," I warn pulling Bella behind while we back away from the guys who are still heading towards us.
They start laughing. "Oh come on baby. Don't be like that. Come hang out with us. We'll show you two a good time," one slurs out as they move to surround us.
