Walking along the coast of Mudhole is a man named Marrovar who walks through a puddle. He thinks that perhaps it might have rained earlier before the merchant ship he rode on arrived on the docks, along side other pirates.
Marrovar is a tall, six foot man, wearing a full suit of armor, covering every inch of his body. Through the eye holes in his helmet, two blue glowing eyes can be seen and he emanates a quite literally, chilling aura.
"Excuse me sir," he says, his voice bellowing and charismatic.
The small salamander man in pirate attire he approaches turns and is startled by Marrovar's intimidating appearance. "Well hello," he says, able to collect himself. "What can I help you with?"
"I'm looking for the Black Hydra guild, would you be able to point me in the right direction.
The boy looks toward the dock and gestures to a ship, "My captain might know."
"Excellent. Can you bring me to him?"
"Sure," he says, guiding Marrovar down the pier and toward the dock where the ship is tethered and up onto the deck. "Captain Pete!" The young pirate calls out.
An old man in a green frock coat and a long beard tied into three tails comes out, "What is it my boy?"
"This man needs directions."
"Oh does he now?" Says the captain, "And where is it you're trying to go?"
"I wish to join up with the Black Hydra guild."
"Ah," the captain says with a laugh, "The little guild run by my old friend Magic Sam."
Marrovar nods. He knows very little about Magic Sam other then the fact hes one of the most wanted magicians in the realm, with a bounty of one hundred million snails.
"Yes that's the one, can you point me in that direction?"
"Sure, I've done business with them before, I know exactly where the guild is. I can even take you there."
"Thank you sir, how much shall I pay you?"
"Actually you look strong, perhaps you can help me with loading some of my cargo that's on the deck. I'm afraid these young boys aren't quite as efficient," he says, patting the salamander boy on the shoulder.
"Of course, where is the cargo?"
Captain Pete guides Marrovar onto the dock where there's an array of wooden crates. Marrovar lifts the biggest one, carrying onto the deck of the ship. He wonders what it is inside the crate that seems to be scratching and trying to escape.
"What's in here?" Marrovar asks ans he lowers the box.
Captain Pete chuckles, "The less you know the better my boy."
