catching up.

(due to the last chapter being short, this one will be longer and mostly wholesome).

When you and Sally arrived at her house she let you take a seat on her couch while she went to get you both some sweets.

It was quite refreshing to be able to have some freedom. You didn't even think about Wally during this time, you didn't want too.

You relaxed on the couch, feeling like it was the first time you had a clear mind in awhile. Being in the home of someone who has hardly acted hostile towards you was something behind words.

When Sally came back she had a tray of cookies and two cups of tea. She placed the tray of cookies on the coffee table in front of you two and handed you your cup of tea before sitting down next to you.

"I haven't seen you in awhile and I was getting lonely. We really should hang out more."

She took a sip of her tea along with you.

You nodded your head in response to her, agreeing to every word. You were quite lonely yourself, the love Wally has shown you is the love that isn't healthy for you. Now that you have romantic love from someone else, you also wanted platonic love from someone else.

You wanted to love someone with out getting a crazy obsessive love filled response back and instead just a smile.

"I agree, it's been quite lonely nowadays.." you reached towards the coffee table and took a bite out of the cookies Sally made. She seemed to like that you at least had a bite.

"But you have Wally, don't you feel loved with him?" Asked with a tilt of her head. She only knew most of the good things about your relationship with Wally. The stuff that he made up.

"It's complicated.. love can be in many ways, some more bad then good." You seemed a bit bitter when you said this. It seemed that Sally thought you and Wally were having fights.

"Is it because of the whole cheating thing? I don't think you cheated on him. I think you must of been being friendly with Howdy and he took it the wrong way." She seemed to be saying this sincerely. No lie in her words.

But you on the other hand had your heart drop when you remembered what you had found. howdy's hat.. the blood... The room. How could you forget?

"I only agreed with everyone else because I didn't want anyone to hate me. And I know it was a bad choice and I'm sorry, I really do like you Y/n" Sally cut off your train of thoughts by apologizing about which side she took during the whole argument with everybody. You didn't seem to mind about which side she picked, you just felt guilt.

Guilt for not separating from Howdy to prevent his fate, guilt for not even harming Wally or hurting him like he hurt Howdy. You blamed yourself.

"It's alright, I forgive you Sally" you said this with a small smile and her face showed a brighter smile then yours.

"You have no idea how happy I am that you said that!" She put her cup down and wrapped her arms around you and pulled you into a hug. In which you responded by hugging her back.

"You know Y/n, everything has been so off.. Howdy's disappearance and Eddie's departure. How Julie and Frank seemed so sad. It's not the same and I'm glad that I had this talk with you today." She seemed genuinely so happy that she got to talk to you. She seemed so happy that she had a friend to hang out with.

You smiled at her words, clearly happy that you still had a friend.

"Sally I'm glad you don't hate me. In glad I'm not cooped up anymore and I'm glad that I have ever met you"

You two were like that for a couple more minutes before she pulled away from the hug. But you had a question to ask.

"Sally.. would you mind catching me up with everything that's been going on? I haven't been outside much." You said this out of curiosity but also you wanted to see if you could get some info that could help you with something.

She responded with a excited tone, ready to spill the tea.

"Oh for sure! What would you like to know about first?" She asked with a excited smile.

You thought about it for a moment, but decided to ask about Eddie first.

"Do you know what happened to Eddie?" You asked.

"Oh, he moved back to his home town from what I heard from Poppy he got kicked out of this town." She said this a bit sad but still quite happy.

This didn't sit right with you. Wally would of wanted something worse to happen to him, but maybe Wally felt kind that day.

"Okay.. what has Frank and the others been up too?" You asked, ready to know what the rest of your friends have been up too. Well sorta friends.

"Frank manages Eddie's old post office, it's not a easy job and everyone is white thankful for it. Sometimes Julie takes over as Frank can't stand being there sometimes." You take this information in. You did feel bad for Frank but he never was on your side.

Soon Sally continued.

"Julie runs Howdy's shop, but it's been hard for her, sometimes Poppy comes over and helps stock things before Julie is too short." Julie seemed to be doing just fine and you weren't all that worried.

Sally then continued to tell you about her and Poppy, she said that Poppy still banks and is still herself. While she also tells you about the plays she host with poppy.

But soon it got to Barnaby.

"That big dog seems so busy nowadays! He doesn't help much around here and is often seen with Wally. He seemed to be in a rush and he always is in the woods because he lost one of his balls there.." she seemed so bummed out when she said this which had you thinking.

Did Barnaby really loose his balls in the woods so often? Or was he hiding something? But before you could think anymore or ask anymore Sally came up with a idea.

"We should have a picnic! With just us girls. It's been awhile since we have." Sally seemed so happy about this idea, like she has been waiting for this moment.

It wasn't a bad idea to you and you agreed.

"That's sounds great. We should get the food ready."

A/N: so I know I don't update as much anymore. And I'll be honest I some what lost the story line. I plan to end this book before September so if I post like 5 chapters in a day do not mind it. The writing style also may be different.

My Grammer has been improving and so I will be going back through each chapter and start fixing Grammer. I also noticed that there hasn't been many moments with just Wally alone so that is coming up.

Sorry for the wait, I'm still surprised that people still kinda read this. And so sorry for taking so long this year has been crazy.

Lastly thank you for your comments I have fun reading them and some truly do make me giggle.
