(There is music. So if you don't want to listen to it you can. Pause it.)------------------
You and Sally had a blast in her kitchen. You helped make blueberry pie and small little sandwiches. There was a woven basic picnic basket on the counter ready to be filled with treats.
"Hey Y/N, would mind calling Poppy and asking if she would like to come to our picnic? You can also ask everyone else. Even the boys. I wanted to see if everyone would like to sit down and talk like old times."
She seemed so happy that everyone would be united again. And so you decide to agree.
"Alright Sally, I'll get to it." You walked into the living room and took ahold of ber phones. Just like Wally's there was seven buttons and each button had someone's name on it.
If you pressed the button with poppy's name on it, it would go and call Poppy that's how the phone worked.
You tapped the button with poppy's name on it and the phone started to ring. It didn't take long for her to answer.
"Hello? Who is it?" He voice ranged from the phone. And the sound of her loving voice made you smile.
"Hi Poppy, it's me Y/N.. I know we haven't talked much but I'm at Sally's house right now and we wanted to know if you wanted to join our picnic?" You asked with high hopes. Poppy didn't seem like the type of bird to leave her house, but maybe she was lonely.
It took a few seconds for her to answer and when she did you were not met with disappointment.
"Oh of course dear! How could I say no?" She said this with a cheerful chuckle which made you smile harder.
"Alright, 12:00. We will be at the biggest tree in the neighborhood, it's a little into the woods and you can't miss it!" You were excited for today. A day to have some fun.
Once you hanged up you went and Called Julie. Now you guys had some sort of friendship, maybe she did still think that you cheated but hopefully she has gotten over that.
You tapped the button with Julie's name on it and it ringed for a few minutes until you heard her voice.
"Hello?" She didn't sound joyful, she sounded depressed in a way. This had you grimace slightly but you still tried to be hopeful.
"Hey.. it's be Y/N. I know you might be angry at me still but I just wanted to ask if you wanted to join me and Sally's Picnic." You were nervous. You were expecting a quick No.
You were met with silence for a few minutes before you got a response.
"Have you asked Frank?" This gave you more hope.
"Oh! Not yet I wanted to ask you first."
"Well.. I guess I'll be there, where and what time?" This made a soft smile come to your face.
"At the biggest tree in the neighborhood at 12:00. Poppy will also be there." After you said that she hung up.
It seemed like things were going well for a change.
Next person you called was Frank. You tapped the button with his name on it and it ringed longer than Poppy's or Julie's.
"What is it?" Said a upset voice. There was no ounce of happiness in his words which made you think this was gonna be tough.
"It's Y/n.. and I just wanted to ask-" Frank immediately hanged up before you could finish you sentence. Guess that won't happen..
With a sigh you decided on asking Barnaby or Wally. Wally by now must of known you were gone, maybe not if he was 'working' late.
But the others would be confused on why you didn't ask them. Today was supposed to be a happy day so you had to suck it up.
You tapped Barnaby's name and the phone ringed for a few moments before you heard his gruff voice.
"Ello! What can I do for ya?" Said Barnaby. But you could faintly here something in the background, like a voice.
"Wanna join me and Sally's Picnic?" You cut to the chance and this made him chuckle.
"Oh Y/N, Wally let ya out? Well I suppose I can't say no to a classic picnic. Where and what time?"
"Biggest tree in the neighborhood at 12:00" with that you hung up. Now you couldn't exactly call Wally since there was a high chance he wasn't home yet. But you were sure that Barnaby would tell him.
You made your way back to the kitchen to update Sally.
"Poppy, Julie, Barnaby and possible Wally will be there. Frank didn't give a good response". You said to her, with a slight down tone at the last part.
"Better than nothing! Now will you help me out everything in the basket? I made hotdogs, brownies, lemonade, along with our sandwiches and pie."
With a nod you helped put everything in the basket before putting the Picnic rug ontop of it all and folded nicely.
You decide to carry the basket since Sally cooked most of the food.
"Well let's get going Y/N. Hopefully they stayed true to their word." And with that you left and started to Walk to the biggest tree in the neighborhood.
It was quite warm. Even starting to get into the afternoon. You took a breath of fresh air as you felt more relaxed than ever.
When you got under the tree, there was shade and a small stream next to you guys. You placed the basket down and opened it to take out the picnic rug. You laid it out and Sally helped take the food out and place it ontop of the rug.
You guys were quite careful on not wanting to spill any of the delicious food and sweets and let it all go to waste.
Once that was done you both sat down and waited.
"I'm so excited! I hope they show!"
You hoped so too.
