Y/n's POV

"We're the rangers and we're here to stay!"

""We're gonna help our team win today!"

"We may be new and our uniforms are green!"

"But we're gonna be part of the winning team!"

"Goooooo Rangers!!" We all say in unison as we do a few cartwheels and back flips. It's the first football game of the season and we've got to show some school spirit! And get the crowd pumped or whatever.

I hated being out there in front of all those people, sure they weren't necessarily watching me, but it sure felt like it at moments. I guess I didn't really think of this when I decided to become a cheerleader, and now I'm too far in.

I mean my boyfriend's the quarterback, being a cheerleader is expected of me! Sure it's stereotypical and cliche but what more can I say? It's just how things are.

I scanned the crowd and saw Connors parents cheering him on. I made eye contact with his mom and gave her a slight wave. She smiled at me and turned her attention back to the field.

My two best friends, Allison and Daisy, were also on the cheer squad. Daisy and I began to lift Allison up, throwing her up into the air before catching her as she landed.

"Number 56, Andrew Chavez, scored a touch down for the Raincliff Rangers! Go Rangers!" The announcer boomed over the speakers, the cheerleaders including me, burst into cheers and celebrated the touchdown.

~~~~
"The Rangers have won! 32 to 19, what a game folks!" The announcer exclaimed happily, signaling the end of the game. The crowd started to disperse as all the football players made their way to the locker rooms.
Connor made his way over to me. "Hey babe!" He said cheerfully, giving me a quick peck on the lips. "You did so good!" I exclaimed, he smiled at me.
"Thanks! You still coming for dinner?" He asked me. I nodded. "Yeah my parents said it was fine." He smiled and nodded before heading to the locker rooms with the rest of the team.
Billie's POV
"Can we leave now?" I asked Tristian, he dragged me to this stupid game because he has a crush on one of the players, or all of them I don't really know. And his ex is on the cheerleading team, he wanted to see her too.
"Ugh yeah fine." He said, rolling his eyes. I smiled at him nudging him playfully. "You'll see them all tomorrow in the halls and in class you know." I told him, he sighed and nodded. "Yeah I guess, not like they pay attention to me anyway."
I patted him sympathetically on the back. "Did you at least have some fun?" He asked me.
"Basketball is my sport Tristian, not football, but the cheerleaders made a nice distraction." I joked, he rolled his eyes at me. "You're no better than a man Billie."
I gasped, pretending to be offended. "How dare you! I am way better than a man!"
We both laughed before heading to his car, so he could drop me off at home.
Y/n's POV
"Wonderful cooking as always Mrs. Smith, and thank you for having me!" I exclaimed taking a bite of the pot roast that my boyfriend's mom had prepared.
"Thank you dear, always a pleasure to have you here!" She replied cheerfully.
"That was a great game you had there Connor." Mr. Smith told Connor, he laughed. "Thanks, I think we need to tighten up our defense though." He said.
The two boys continued to talk about football, a subject I'm not interested in what so ever. They just kept talking and talking and talking. Don't get me wrong! I love my boyfriend's family, but they just never seem to talk about anything other than sports.
Kill me now.
