The day is sunny, the birds are chirping, residents in the neighborhood slowly start to wake up and get ready for the day. In one house, there lives a family of nine where one soul is still resting, trying in vain to not get up and face reality. This does not go unnoticed by their siblings. "Sakura! Wake up! You're gonna be late for school," shouted a young man with short black hair and blue eyes in an apron making lunches for the rest of the household residents. Hearing no response, the man sighs and looks over to a woman with long, straight, dark brown hair and hazel eyes in her pajamas sitting at the table reading a book while eating cereal. "Mei, could you get her up? I don't want her to miss breakfast again." Mei looks up from her book and groans. "Why me? She never gets up when I do it." As they discuss, a little girl with dirty blonde curly hair and green eyes in casual clothes, looking to be about eight years old, walks into the kitchen listening to the conversation. "I'll go get her!" Exclaims the little girl as she rushes upstairs to find the culprit of their conversation. Both older siblings smile in amusement. "Thank you Anna, you're amazing!" Yelled Mei as she resumes reading and eating her cereal. The young man sighs in content, knowing Anna will accomplish her task. "Hey Ren! Have you seen my soccer shoes? I have practice today," questioned a young teen with black hair tied in a short ponytail and brown eyes in sporty clothes is seen digging through the closet next to the front door. The young man in the apron, now identified as Ren, pokes his head out of the kitchen. "I put them in the basement. They were covered in mud so I washed them in the sink down there. Oh and Jun, make sure you pack your team jersey too," replied Ren as he finishes up packing the last of the lunch bags. The young teen, Jun, closes the closet door and rushes to the basement door. "Thanks bro!" Shouts Jun as he runs by. As Jun goes down into the basement, another young man with bright blonde hair with a streak of green in the front and amber eyes in a blue Henley shirt and jeans walks downstairs yawning. "It's too early to be this noisy. Some of us didn't sleep well," said the young man. Mei merely grins at her brother's sleepy antics. "Well, maybe you should've gone to bed early instead of staying out late hanging out with your girlfriends," replied Mei as she finishes up her cereal. The man rolls his eyes as he grabs a bowl out of the cabinet. "First of all, I have a boyfriend now, he's very sweet. Second of all, we weren't hanging out. We were studying for midterms at his house together while his parents were home. I swear, that professor is out to get us," groans the man while he grabs the cereal away from Mei. Ren chuckles while cleaning up the table. "Ryu, you should really try to study over time rather than procrastinating until the very last second. You would get more sleep that way." The man, Ryu, simply sticks his tongue out and eats his cereal in a huff.
Meanwhile, Anna runs up to a door at the end of the hallway knocking enthusiastically. "Sakura! Wake up! I want to eat breakfast with you," shouts Anna as she turns the doorknob. Anna opens the door all the way and runs up to a lump in the covers on top of the bed. "Sakura! C'mon! I want pancakes. They taste better with you around," said Anna as she pokes the lump nonstop. The lump groans and slowly a head pops out from under the cover. The head turns to reveal messy red, brown hair and sleepy dark blue eyes, unveiling Sakura's features. She carefully unravels the covers around her and stretches her arms up while yawning. "I'm up I'm up. *Yawn* Let me just get ready," said Sakura as she ruffles her little sister's hair. Anna giggles and moves towards the door. Before she leaves, she turns around and gave one last warning, "Don't go back to sleep. Ren made breakfast and he'll be really sad if you skip again." With that said, Anna leaves her big sister's room and goes back downstairs to wait for her. Sakura smiles at the reminder and looks out the window, dreading what the day has in store for her. "Another day at school. Great. I wonder if my game finished downloading," thought the awakened girl as she gets up from her bed slowly and walks over to her computer monitor. She quickly enters her password and clicks a few tabs on screen and smiles at the result. "Nice! Can't wait to explore the new area. Gonna get some new gear and spells," thought Sakura. She locks up her computer once more and heads towards another room at the other end of the hallway. She opens the door and sees two girls who look exactly the same with matching casual clothes, light brown hair and bright green eyes, however, one girl had streaks of blue in her hair while the other had streaks of pink. The one with blue streaks is brushing her hair while the other is putting on eyeliner. Sakura sighs and says, "Ali, Ria. Can I come in and brush my teeth?" Knowing the answer, Sakura walks in the bathroom as Ali, the one with blue streaks, hands her toothbrush over. "Better hurry. Ren made breakfast and we got to go in ten minutes," stated Ria as she finishes up putting on eyeliner. Sakura merely grunts out an answer as she brushes her teeth. Sakura quickly brushes her teeth and hair and rushes to change out of her pajamas into some casual clothes. She looks at herself in the mirror and sighs. "I really need to get better clothes. Maybe I should get my hair done again," she thinks while twirling her hair. "Sakura! C'mon! It's almost time to go," shouts Ren, snapping Sakura out of her trance. She quickly grabs her bag and runs down the stairs, careful not to trip. "Sorry. Thank you for cooking breakfast," said Sakura as she quickly sits at the table and gobbles down the sticky sweet pancakes in front of her. Anna smiles brightly, thrilled her big sister could join for breakfast. "Yay! Now these pancakes taste ten times better than before," exclaims the little girl with food in her mouth. Sakura smiles shyly while Ren looks at Anna with a mock hurt face. "But Anna, you said my pancakes were delicious before Sakura came down," said Ren as he looks at her with fake tears in his eyes. Anna merely laughs at her brother's goofiness. "Yeah, but now they taste better," answered Anna with a big smile on her face. The other occupants in the room laugh at her silliness. As they laugh, another woman in a suit with a black pencil skirt with short, straight black hair and dark brown eyes speed walks into the room while glancing at her phone. "Anna, don't talk with food in your mouth. Sakura, stop playing your game so late at night. You know you have trouble getting up in the morning," lectured the newly arrived woman. Sakura blushes while Anna gulps down her food loudly. "Sorry Nora," said Anna while she gets up from the table and carries her dishes to the sink. "Sorry Nora, I couldn't help myself. I got excited about the new update," muttered Sakura as she quickly finishes up her food. Nora grabs her purse and turns towards Sakura. "I know, but you still have school. If you keep doing that I'm gonna turn off the Wi-Fi," warned Nora. Hearing her threat, everyone except Ren and Anna yells out, "No," and turns towards Sakura with a glare. "You better not stay up late again, Sakura. I need Wi-Fi to finish my school work," said Ryu as he takes his dishes to the sink. Mei nods her head to his statement. "Yeah and I need it to stay on social media. I need to know what Markiplier is doing at all times! I hear he's gonna upload a new horror game gameplay video today," stated Mei as the twins and Jun nod their heads in agreement, sharing their love for the famous YouTuber. Sakura's blush grows darker as she scrambles out of her seat and rushes to the sink."R-r-right! No more late night gaming. Got it. No need to turn off the Wi-Fi, Nora," promised the blushing girl as she tries to escape the multitude of glares from her siblings. Ren chuckles at the ordeal and starts to hand out lunches to everyone. "Nora, let's save that punishment when and if more than one person does something wrong. No need to torture everyone here," countered Ren as he hands a lunch to the twins and Jun as they quickly head towards the door. Nora smiles and sighs, "Fine, but only because I need it too. Dave is supposed to email me with the new status reports." Most of the occupants sigh in relief, knowing their precious Wi-Fi will not tempered with. Sakura sighs in relief, silently thanking her older brother for the save. Ren nods his head in acknowledgment and hands Anna and Nora their lunches. "C'mon Sakura! We got to go," screamed Jun as he opens the door while the girls put on their shoes. Sakura calls out, "Coming," to her younger brother and quickly grabs her bag. Before she could get to the front door, Ren calls out to her. "Wait Sakura, don't forget your lunch." Ren hands her a bagged lunch while she and Anna put on their shoes. "Thanks Ren!" Ren smiles and rubs her head affectionately. "You're welcome, now go. Don't be late." Sakura nods her head rushes to catch up with her younger siblings. Nora stands next to Ren as she digs through her purse. "I'll be going now. Don't worry about me for dinner, I have to work late tonight," said Nora as she heads to the parked car in front of the house. Ren simply nods his head and goes back inside to take care of the chores for the day.
Sakura catches up to her younger siblings, taking Anna's hand before they start crossing the street. Anna excitedly takes her hand and lists all the activities school has in plan for her. "I can't wait to go to school! We're gonna look at the butterfly cacoons in the little net cages and see if they hatched yet. Then, we're gonna paint and play tag at gym. Then..." Sakura simply smiles at her sister's excitement as they walk to school. They reach their first destination, Nottingham West Elementary School. Sakura lets go of Anna's hand so the little girl could rush to the doors. "Bye Sakura! Bye Jun! Bye Ali and Ria," yelled Anna. The older siblings waved their hands. "We'll pick you up at 3:30 Anna. Be good," yelled Jun as he walked with his sisters to their next destination. They reach Lincoln Memorial Middle School, Jun's school. Jun speed walks up the stairs as his sisters wave to him. "See ya Jun," said Ali while waving."We'll come get you around 3," stated Ria while looking at her phone. "Good luck on practice today," said Sakura quietly, not wanting to draw too much attention from the other middle schoolers. "I'm gonna be the best," declared Jun as he smiles at the encouragement and enters through the open doors. Sakura and twins turn and head off to their final destination. After ten minutes, they reach their school, William Taft Memorial High School. The sisters walk through the open doors being bombarded by the many students rushing to their home rooms before the bell rings. "Bye Sakura," said Ria still looking at her phone. "We'll see you at lunch," said Ali as she and her twin head down a hallway. Sakura weakly waves goodbye. "Yeah...See you at lunch," said Sakura in a quiet voice that the twins almost missed if they weren't paying attention.
Sakura sighs anxiously and heads up the stairs in the opposite direction her sisters were heading. She shyly walks through the halls as the sound of students talking loudly started to overwhelm her. She quickly arrives at her locker to store her lunch and switch out some books for her morning classes and speed walks to her home room towards the end to get away from the chaos. She makes a beeline to her seat in the back next to the window. She sighs in relief having made it in time, sadly that relief was short lived. "Hey Sakura," shouted a girl in expensive clothes surrounded by a group of girls in similar styles. Sakura stiffens and prays that girl would disappear. She avoids looking at the popular girl as they come closer. A loud slam makes her jump a mile in the air. "Hey. Don't ignore us, I thought we were friends," sneered the girl that slammed her hands on Sakura's desk while the rest of the group giggle in twisted glee. Sakura still refuses to look up, wishing that the bell would ring to signal the start of classes. As if hearing her prayer, the bell rings and a teacher walks through door before the rude the girl was gonna continue to harass Sakura. "Alright everyone take a seat. We'll start with attendance," said an older man, unknowingly saving Sakura from anymore torment. The girls groan and begrudgingly walk back to their seats.
Once homeroom was over, Sakura rushed out the door and made a beeline to her next class, trying to avoid the bullies from before. As each class ended, Sakura continued to rush from one class to the next. Making sure to avoid any of the mean girls from the group in homeroom, until finally, it was time for lunch. Sakura sighed in relief, knowing she won't have any issues at lunch. "Almost there, just three more classes after lunch and I'll be free. Can't wait to play the new update," thought Sakura as she heads to her locker to grab her lunch. As she reaches for her lunch, a slam next to her causes a small yelp to escape her lips. She nervously glances at the culprit and pales, seeing it's the popular girl from homeroom. The girl simply ignores her as she laughs obnoxiously with her friends while going through her own locker. Sakura quickly grabs her lunch and closes her locker door, but before she could head over to the cafeteria a couple of the girls in the group block her way. "Hey now Sakura, you're not leaving so soon are you," questioned the popular girl in a mocking tone. Sakura gulps and shakes slightly. "Um I'm just heading to lunch," said Sakura in a weak voice, trying to pass the two girls in front of her. The girls refuse to move as they giggle while the popular girl walks up to Sakura from behind. "C'mon Sakura, we just want to hang out. You see, we need some snacks for a party after school and it would be great if you could run that errand for us," said the popular girl in taunting tone. Sakura grows more nervous as the popular girl kept on getting closer to her. Before she could grab Sakura, a pair of twins push through the group and stand in between her and Sakura. "Leave her alone. Don't you have to go to the bathroom to make out with some football player," sneered Ria as she cross her arms. "No no, I heard she's screwing with some basketball player," said Ali to further annoy the popular girl as she places her hands on her hips. "No no, I think it was a baseball player," countered Ria with narrowed eyes, daring the girl in front of them to interject. The popular girl gawks before finally turning around in a huff, muttering "Whatever, let's go," and heads down the hall. The rest of the group leaves glaring at the twins along the way. The twins simply flips them off before turning towards their distressed sister. "Hey, you okay?" "We got worried when it took you so long to meet up with us," said the twins while they gently place their hands on their older sister's shoulder. Sakura takes a deep breath and releases it slowly before looking over at her younger sisters. "I'm okay. Thank you. Let's go eat," replied Sakura as she gently removes their hands off and heads to the cafeteria, missing the worried glances sent her way.
Thankfully, the girls found a spot to eat in the large cafeteria in the back corner. Quietly talking amongst themselves while enjoying the home cooked meal their older brother lovingly made. Sakura mainly listened to her sisters talk about their day and future plans while munching away. After lunch, the sisters split up once more and went to their next classes. Luckily for Sakura, she didn't have to worry about the group of bullies as her classes were further away from them and was able to finish the day without any issues. Not wanting to jinx herself, she quickly heads to her locker, switches out her books, and headed straight to the exit to meet up with her sisters. They all smile and head home, not before going to go to pick up their other siblings.
They head towards Jun's school and see him on the field kicking a soccer ball. Sakura smiles at her younger brother's talent while Ali records the rest of practice on her phone. Jun skillfully kicks the ball into the goal, his teammates cheering at their victory. Jun laughs in joy having secured the winning shot for his team and his friends all crowd him, cheering him on in preparation for their next game. Jun looks up and finally notices his sisters waiting for him outside the field. Jun smiles at his friends and gently pushes them to go gather his stuff and head over to his sisters. As he gets closer, Sakura claps her hands while Ria smiles at him and claps on his back stating, "Nice shot little bro. You just might make it to nationals." Ali puts her phone away after ending the recording and nods her head in agreement. "Totally. You can make a successful career out of this," said Ali while walking alongside her twin. Sakura walks on the other side of her brother showing him how proud she was. "They're right. You're very talented and not just in soccer, but in all sports. You're amazing Jun," praised Sakura making her brother blush at the encouragement. "Ye-yeah we'll see. I mean I'm still young. I might go into video game design in the future," said the blushing boy in between his sisters. The girls simply giggle at his flustered face and head towards Anna's school.
They wait outside the school entrance alongside parents waiting for their children and hear the final bell of the day ring, signaling the end of the day. The doors open and a swarm of children run out the doors into the arms of their loving parents. The siblings wait patiently until they see a head of dirty blonde, curly hair. Jun calls out, "Anna! Let's go!" Anna looks up and smiles, rushing over to her siblings. Sakura smiles back and kneels down to hug her little sister. The little girl crashes into her arms while laughing in glee. "Sis! I had so much fun at school today," exclaimed the little bundle of joy in Sakura's arms. She easily picks her up while Ali grabs Anna's bag off her shoulders. "Really? What'd you do," questioned Sakura in a content tone. The siblings walk back home while Anna excitedly explains the events of her day and Sakura listens quietly.
