Chapter 14: Orzahs

The moment the stone made contact to the ground, it shattered to a million pieces, bright light erupting from the cracks that blinds everyone. Large gusts of wind pushes everyone to a far distance including a certain beast-man. Yuuya flips midair to steady himself and catch Sam and Ruby. "Mom!" "Mommy!" The children of Evelyn scream, making Yuuya search quickly for said woman, finding her holding onto a tree for dear life. He floats down to her and creates a wind barrier to block out the onslaught. "Stay behind me!" Yuuya yells as he keeps his barrier up. Nearby villagers and bandits move to stay out of the strong winds, waiting for it to be over. The ground shook as large footsteps step out of the whirlwind and a tall shadow loomed over everyone. Thorburn's maniacal laughter is the only sound breaking through the rushing winds. What felt like hours only took a couple of minutes as the winds finally died down, and the bright light faded away. When Yuuya no longer felt the strong force, he released his own barrier and looked up. His eyes widen at what stood in front of him. The creature summoned from the stone was as tall as a skyscraper with shining white scales. Three tails swayed behind it as its eyes opened. What surprised Yuuya the most was the fact the creature didn't have one, not two, but five heads. These heads were attached to long necks giving it a serpent look were it not for its gigantic legs that remind the beast-man of an elephant. Each head has strange markings along its neck, each in different colors: red, blue, cyan, yellow, and brown. Their eyes matching the color of their marks. The creature gave off a loud booming roar, startling everyone except for Thorburn who just laughed in absolute glee.
"What do you think of me now beastie!?" Thorburn walks up to the creature, showing no fear as he gently placed his hand on the creature's leg. "With this thing, you don't stand a chance against the Thunder Snakes now!" He pats the creature's leg as he continues to rant, "This thing is known as Orzahs, The Raging Hydra, a deity among the elves' kind. It has defeated a legendary monster in the past. Ha! You don't stand a chance against this thing." Yuuya moves away from the group, not wanting anyone to be in danger, watching the creature stare at him in earnest. The bandit leader finally ends his rant and gives Yuuya one last smug look, "Sic him boy!" Each head opens its mouth wide revealing a light the same color as their marks growing stronger, making Yuuya slightly panic at the realization. "Oh shit!"
A blast of fire, ice, wind, lightning, and sand hit where Yuuya once stood, jumping high in the air at the last second. He stomps his foot in the air, his wind magic solidifying to create a platform, and pushes hard into the creature. While flying, Yuuya summons Tyrhung and uses it to slice off the middle head that was controlling wind. The decapitated head fell before turning to dust while the other four heads aimed right at Yuuya. Seeing himself in a pinch, Yuuya curses and teleports right before they fired. Yuuya doesn't get a break once he teleports a good distance away since blasts of fire and lightning came straight at him. Yuuya uses his wind magic to fly around, dodging the attacks. Sadly, as he heads in one direction, ice and sand blasts come at him from that direction. One side of ice and sand while the other side was fire and lightning, pressuring Yuuya to make a quick decision to fly straight at the creature's main body. Before he could get hit, Yuuya punches the creature's chest hard, forcing it to take a few steps back in pain. Yuuya smiles at his success until he notices the middle head he had cut off before regenerating at incredible speed until the head was fully grown, blasting him with wind into several trees. "Oof!" Yuuya exclaims, not expecting the attack nor the creature's recovery. Thorburn laughs in triumph. "Yes! That's it! Kill him-Woah!" One of the tails almost knocks into the bandit leader, smacking into some of the bandits behind him. Thorburn sweat drops at the sight and scowls at the creature, "Hey! I am your master! You will obey me-eek!" A large foot almost steps on the bandit leader, forcing him to run away in fright. The creature simply roars and looks for its target, blasting the area around it.
Yuuya groans as he slowly gets up, wincing at the numerous cuts and bruises on his body. Yuuya casts his light magic and activates the bracelet of Starfall to heal more quickly. Once he dusted himself off, Yuuya observes the creature, Orzahs, more closely. "Hmmm this thing is called a hydra which means it can regenerate its heads easily...At least it doesn't create more heads every time one is cut off, I do not want another Lerna situation." Yuuya watches as the head with the red markings breathed fire while the head with the brown markings breathed sand. "Seems like each color of the markings indicates what element each head can use. Red is fire, brown is earth, blue is water, cyan is wind, and yellow is-" As if thinking about it, a blast of lightning strikes near Yuuya's location, hitting an innocent tree. Yuuya sighs, annoyed at his suspicions, "And yellow is lightning...Great. Just what I need." Yuuya notices that Thorburn is yelling out orders, but the creature continues to run rampant, ignoring its master. "And it has a serious problem in taking orders. Must not see Thorburn as a master...He did say he got the summoning stone from an elf. Guess it won't take direct orders from non-elves even if they were the ones that summoned it..." Yuuya looks all over the creature, trying to find a visible weak point. Seeing none, he activates his appraisal skill and notices a bright, white ball of light flying across the creature's body, never staying in one place for too long. Yuuya scrunches his eyebrows, growing more annoyed and yet excited, "And it's weak point is moving like a freakin housefly on steroids..." Yuuya cracks his knuckles and pulls out his trusty sword. "Okay then! Guess I'll have to move faster to hit the damn thing."
Yuuya launches himself at the creature, drawing its attention back on him. Blasts of ice and lightning are blocked by a barrier of light, allowing Yuuya to slice through those two heads. The remaining heads screech in anger and open wide to blast Yuuya away. Yuuya quickly cuts off the head with red markings and uses strong water magic to decapitate the head with cyan markings. The head with yellow markings growl angrily and roars up into the sky, summoning a lightning storm. Sudden bolts of lightning strike the ground, almost hitting several bandits including the bandit leader himself. Women and children scream as they duck to avoid the lightning, Sam shielding Ruby and his mother from the brutal attacks. Not able to watch the people close to him get hurt, Yuuya floats in between the people below and the lightning above and creates a barrier of light, grunting as his shield is hit by bolt after bolt of lightning. Yuuya's eyes widen as the four decapitated heads regenerate once more and open wide to prepare for their next attack. Panic floods his mind as Yuuya looks between the people behind him and the creature in front of him. "Shitshitshit! If I move these people will get hit! If I don't my shield will break and I'll get hit! What do I do!?" Bright lights fill in each mouth, increasing Yuuya's panic tenfold. "Fuckfuckfuck! If only I had more mana!" Suddenly a thought crosses his mind, a certain evolutionary skill. Such a skill Sakura unlocked right before he came here. "Maybe...I could use that..." Just before the creature blasted Yuuya, the mark on his chest glows through his clothes and envelops him in a bright white light, he says one word that fully activates the skill, "Ascension."
