A bright light forces Sakura to open her eyes and there she sees an empty field and a lake. The wind blows gently to rustle the grass. Sakura looks around in confusion, sadly she only sees more field and some trees surrounding the field. She cautiously walks towards the lake and looks at the water. Strangely though Sakura doesn't see her reflection, instead she sees Yuuya. This puzzles Sakura even further and leans closer hoping to get a better look. She turns her head side to side, the Yuuya reflection copies the movement. "What the..." "Child." Sakura yelps hearing a voice behind her. She turns around swiftly and sees a woman wearing a white Grecian dress that seems to sparkle slightly in the sunlight. What surprises Sakura the most is the glowing halo over her head. The mysterious woman walks slowly towards Sakura as if any sudden movements would frighten the young girl. Sakura stands still as she waits for the woman. Just when they were only a few feet away, the woman stops walking and smiles gently. "Hello child." Sakura continues to stare and opens her mouth, but no sound comes out. The woman gently takes one of Sakura's hands and holds it like a fragile glass piece, her face turning into a depressed frown. "Please help me. Help me save my children. You are the only one that can open their eyes," pleaded the mysterious woman with sadness in her eyes. Sakura blinks owlishly at the woman and quickly says, "I don't understand. How can I help? I'm no one special." The woman raises her unoccupied hand to Sakura's face and strokes her cheek soothingly. "You are more special than you realize. I have watched you all this time. You are the one." Before Sakura could question anymore, the scenery and woman disappear in an instant by the loud sound ringing all around her.
The sounds of loud voices outside her door stirs Sakura up from her slumber. She groans in annoyance and moves to sit up all the way. She pops her back and stretches with a loud yawn. She looks at her window in deep thought. "Who was that? What a weird dream." A loud knock snaps her out of her thoughts and she sees Mei was the culprit as she opens the door. "Sakura, you up? Time to get ready." Sakura nods her head and slowly gets out of bed. "I'm coming," said Sakura in a tired voice and stumbling into her sister as she walks by to the bathroom. Mei chuckles at her clumsiness and heads downstairs, mildly surprised she was able to get the normally exhausted sister up. Sakura gets ready for day normally, but still couldn't stop thinking about that weird dream she had. The dream still haunting her mind as she goes down the stairs to join her family at the table. She silently sits in a chair as the rest of her siblings talk loudly about nothing and everything at the same time. Sakura eats her breakfast in a daze when a tug on her arm wakes her up. "Sakura, can we get ice cream after school? Ren says it's up to you," requested Anna with big puppy eyes. Hearing the aspect of dessert, Jun and the twins sit up more in their seats and look at Sakura. "Yeah! We can go to Haywards, I love their ice cream," suggested Jun, the twins nodding their heads in agreement. Sakura looks at Ren for a quick second, seeing him smile and nod, she turns back and gives her younger siblings a bright smile. "Sure, we can go for some ice cream. As long as it's a small," answered Sakura, making her siblings cheer in delight. Anna holds up her pinky finger, "Promise?" Sakura chuckles and entwines her pinky finger with her own pinky. "Promise."
After finishing up their breakfasts and putting away the dishes, Sakura and her younger siblings grab their bags and head towards the door. Ren waits patiently at the door with lunches. Each child grabs their lunch from Ren as they exit out the door. Before Sakura closes the door, she hears her older siblings stating their farewells and sees Ren near the door. "Have a good day at school. Remember, it's not forever. You got this." Sakura smiles shyly at his encouragement and closes the door all the way and catches up to her siblings.
Sakura and the others drop off Anna at school, but before she heads inside Anna rushes to hug Sakura one last time. "Don't forget our promise." Sakura hugs her back and says, "I won't. See you after school." With that, Anna runs through the open doors of her school. The rest of the siblings head off to their next destination. As they wait for the light to change, Sakura notices a small child standing by her mother holding a baby blue bunny plushie, finding the sight to be adorable. Finally, the light changes allowing the pedestrians to cross. Just as Sakura steps on the sidewalk on the other side, she hears a woman's voice, "Sara! Come back!" Sensing the urgency in her voice, Sakura turns and sees the small child from before running out to the crosswalk. There on the ground lays the child's beloved toy. Unfortunately for the child, she fails to see a giant white truck coming towards her at great speed. Sakura's eyes widen at the situation and before she realizes it, her body already moving towards the little girl. "Sara!" "Sakura!" Screams could be heard, however, they do not stop the incoming danger. Time seems to move slow for Sakura. The little girl grabs her toy and looks up, finally seeing the truck. Sakura pushes even harder to reach the small child. "Please no! Dear God please!" Sakura's thoughts give her one final push as she shoves the child away from the road. Sadly, she herself could not escape the truck's path. A loud screech accompanied by a disturbing sound of metal hitting flesh fills the air.
Pain is all she could feel. Her whole body was on fire due to the throbbing sensation in every bone. She can faintly hear voices around her, but they sound muffled to her ears. One eye opens painfully and all she could see was blood, her blood, on the ground around her. She's able to see a blurry face coming towards her and could faintly understand the words coming out of their mouth. "Sa-ra...ca....hear...stay...me." She whimpers in pain and could feel her throat closing, her wounds suffocating her slowly. She feels a warm hand on her hand and tries to focus on the comfort it provides, trying in vain to ignore the overwhelming pain. "Sakura! Please hold on. Help is on the way!" Hearing the voice right next to hear allowed her to fully understand what they, she realizes it's Jun, saying. Sakura tries to open her mouth and speak to comfort her little brother, but a choking sound escapes instead. Seeing her choking, Jun's panicking gets worse. "Ali! Ria! Help!" Ali is on the phone calling for an ambulance while Ria kneels next to her brother and places her hand on Sakura's face gently, not wanting to hurt her further. Sakura's body suddenly feels cold, she could do nothing but whimper in distress. Her vision started to swim and slowly fade. "Sakura? Nononono stay with us! You have to stay awake!" Jun and Ria plead with tears streaming down their faces. Ali growing more urgent on the phone. "Please! You have to get here! My sister is bleeding real bad and-and she's losing consciousness. Please send help!" Sakura could only watch as her precious blood continues to flow out of her wounds, leaving her cold as if she was out in the snow. "Please God no. I don't want to die," thought Sakura tearfully. She can see the same child from before in the corner of her eye, staring in horror while her mother is clutching onto her with a death grip. Sakura realizes what her actions have done, she numbly accepts her fate. "Well, at least that girl is alive. I wish I got to say goodbye to everyone. I won't be able to keep my promise to Anna." With the last of her strength, Sakura weakly grasps Jun's hand, gaining his attention immediately. "Sakura, it's gonna be okay. You're gonna be alright. Help is on the way," rambled Jun in way to try calm Sakura down in reality it was to calm himself. Sakura finally opens her mouth, "J-J-Jun...Ri-Ria...tell Anna...I'm s-s-sorry...I l-lo-love you all." Sakura succumbs to her injuries and closes her eyes, the last thing she sees is her siblings crying, pleading her to stay.
