P4. a trip to the arcade!

Somehow, Xingqiu, Chongyun, Xiangling and Xinyan found themselves hanging out with a big group of friends once again.

It was chaotic, really. 3 different arguments happening, loud laughter and screaming, and the quiet ones doing club work in the corner.

"Watcha doiin?~" Hu Tao smirked, leaning over Yanfei's shoulder. "I'm working on calculating people's attendances for Miss Jean." Yanfei sighed, turning to face the girl.

Hu Tao rolled her eyes and sat back, glancing around. "Boringgg! How can you sit here and be doing work while everyones hanging and having fun around you?"

Keqing snapped her head towards Hu Tao and crossed her arms. "Hey! Me and Ganyu are doing work, too. You're just lazy, and you have homework you should be working on, all of you!" She stated loudly.

The loud friends all went quiet, guilt creeping up on them.
"..Aha.. Well, homework doesn't really matter!" Venti exclaimed, waving his finger around in Keqing's face.

Yoimiya nodded, with a cheeky smile. "You're totally just taking school too seriously. Why not have some fun for once? We rarely ever get to see you and Ganyu!"

Ganyu sweat dropped before rubbing the back of her neck awkwardly. "I'm sorry, everyone.. Keqing joined the student council because of me, and we've both just been so focused on all the work."

Amber shook her head, and placed her hand on Ganyu's shoulder. "No need to apologise. How about.. hm.. Ah! I know, why don't we all go to the arcade after school today? You guys should take a break from working hard!"

Xinyan and Xiangling both clasped their hands together, stars in their eyes.
"Oh em gee!! A big hangout at the mall arcade after school? Sounds like a dream! Let's do it!" Xiangling smiled.

Hu Tao held Yanfei's shoulders, eagerly pushing her back and forth. "Pleasseee come Fei!! It'll only be one hangout!"
Yanfei brushed her off before closing her book and letting out a deep breath. "Ugh, fine. Im assuming you'll be coming to, Keqing, Ganyu?"

Keqing and Ganyu nodded, and everyone cheered collectively.

Ayaka turned to Xingqiu and tilted her head, as if to ask "You coming?".

Xingqiu nodded. "That sounds fun. I'm in. How about you, Yun?"
Chongyun snapped out of his daze, before hesitating for a second. "I don't know.. big groups aren't my thing."

Xingqiu frowned before folding his arms. "Oh, don't be a baby, Yun! We can spend some time away from the group~"

Chongyun's face immediately went red, before he got up and walked away quickly out of embarrassment. He waved his hand to the group, "Yeah, whatever, fine."

Xingqiu smiled before laughing quietly and covering his face with his book, as the rest of the group went on with their talk.

"Hey guys! You ready to go?" Hu Tao asked, waiting by the school gate with Yanfei, Xiangling, Xinyan, Ganyu, and Keqing.

Xingqiu approached the group beside Chongyun, nodding. "Yes, but where is everyone else?" He questioned.

"Yoimiya, Ayaka, Amber and Eula are caught up with some last minute photography club work. They'll be arriving later on. As for Thoma and Ayato, they said they'd meet us there later." Yanfei said, closing her book.

"Oh, and Xiao, Venti, Scaramouche and Kazuha are in the middle of basketball practice. They'll meet with the others then come along to the mall." Ganyu said.

Xingqiu nodded. "Well, let's go then."

The group began to walk, everyone ahead besides Xingqiu and Chongyun, who were walking together at the back.

"I'm happy you decided to come, Yun. I know you hate crowds." Xingqiu smiled, leaning forward with his arms behind his back, looking at Chongyun.

Chongyun scratched the back of his neck, his cheeks turning a slight pink. "Yea, yeah, whatever.. I just came because I knew you'd call me a baby if I skipped out."

Xingqiu laughed. "You know me all too well, Yun. Let's go catch up to the others, don't want them thinking we're having some romantic one-on-one time, do we?"

Chongyun opened his mouth in shock, before furrowing his eyebrows and making a "Tch" noise.

Xingqiu smiled before grabbing his arm and pulling him along to catch up with the rest.

Once the group arrived at the venue, they immediately were immersed in how big the arcade was.
"I call the claw machines!" Hu Tao cheered, running straight to a machine.
Yanfei followed her, sighing.

Ganyu and Keqing hesitated, before nodding at each other and deciding to play a game of 8ball.

Xiangling and Xinyan were already off to god knows where, probably pulling some horrible pranks on strangers.

"Well, what do you want to do, Yun?" Xingqiu asked, turning to the boy.

Chongyun shrugged, his hands in his pockets. He wasn't all that interested in arcade games. To be honest, he's never been to one. He only came this once for the sake of Xingqiu.

Xingqiu's eyes lit up, before he grabbed Chongyun and lead him to a room.
"A photobooth, really?" Chongyun said.

Xingqiu nodded before pointing at the curtain. "Let's take some! I've never been to a photobooth before!" He exclaimed.

Seeing Xingqiu so happy and excited to do something so childish made Chongyun cave in, and before he knew it, the two were sitting shoulder by shoulder in the cramped room.

"3..2...1" The voice counted down.
Xingqiu hit a peace sign, while Chongyun sat there awkwardly staring at the camera.

Xingqiu turned to him. "Cmon, do a pose! Don't make all the photos boring!"
Chongyun's eyebrow twitched annoyingly, before he hesitatingly put up a peace sign. along with a smiling Xingqiu beside him.

In the last picture, an intrusive thought hit Xingqiu. Maybe he should do this.. but would it make Chongyun mad? Hopefully not.. Xingqiu jokes around like this all the time!

Just before the countdown ended, Xingqiu turned to Chongyun and leaned in, giving him a peck on the cheek, to which the camera flashed, catching it and slowly printing it out along with the other pictures taken.

Chongyun flew back in shock, almost falling out of the booth, his entire face slowly creeping red, his lip quivering. "Y-You! Xingqiu, you idiot! Don't do things like that unexpectedly!"

Xingqiu only laughed as the two got out of the booth, holding the boys shoulder. "So, you'd let me do it if I told you beforehand?"

Chongyun brushed off his hand before turning away and stomping off, his entire body warm and his cheeks a bright red. "Shut up! I-I'm gonna go find the others!"

Xingqiu chuckled, tagging along behind the blushing boy.
