P8. School event season!

"Xingqiuuu!" A voice wailed from afar, slowly running toward the blue haired boy.
Xingqiu and his friends turned around only to see a puffed out Chongyun, catching his breath with his hands on his knees.
"Yun? What's got you all in a rush?" Xingqiu questioned.

Chongyun held up a flyer and desperately waved it around in the groups face.
Xiangling grabbed it from him and held it stable for everyone to read, before all their faces lit up in a bright happiness.

"The school festival!" Hu Tao exclaimed, jumping up and down.
*On the 20th of December, the school held an entire event day for the public to come and visit, with many different food stalls and activities, the event serves as an early Christmas celebration for the students!*

Xingqiu tapped his chin silently before he too, had a glowing look in his eyes.
"This can only mean one thing.." He stated.

"The schools band group is so back!!" They all cheered together.

The next day, the halls were bustling with all the students discussing their clubs or their classes activities that they'd be hosting for the event day.

As the students passed one specific room in the halls, they could hear the clashing of instruments and the loud booming of microphones coming from
the band room.
As always, the preparation that the band club does before the event day is something the entire school dreads. Its a complete mess! Though for the results, its totally worth it.

Keqing, Ganyu and Yanfei were noting down the progress of each clubs activities, and as they approached the music room, Keqing sighed.
"This is gonna be too much for me to handle. The mess in there will totally make me freak." She said, with a hand on her nose.

Yanfei laughed before patting her shoulder. "You and Ganyu go ahead. Ive got this group."
Ganyu clapped her hands together and bowed almost a million times...
"Thank you, thank you!"

Yanfei nodded, before knocking on the music room door as Keqing and Ganyu took their leave.
No answer.
She sighed before sliding open the door, only to be welcomed with almost a gazillion papers scrunched up in the corner, with Xingqiu hastily scribbling on a notebook.

Hu Tao and Xinyan were screaming into the mic, giggling like kids, whilst Chongyun and Xiangling were tossing around a bunch of instruments.

"What in the world is going on here?!" Yanfei gasped.
Hu Tao turned to her before her eyes glowed and she ran toward the girl. "Feiiiii!!!"
Yanfei moved to the side, causing Hu Tao to lean forward for a hug and falling face flat to the ground.

Chongyun stood up and dusted off his clothes. "Hey, Yanfei. Xianglings missing a few keys off her keyboard, and Xingqiu's finishing off the lyrics for our next song for the event day!"

Yanfei shook her head and then helped Hu Tao up. "This place is a mess! You guys always cause such a ruckus when preparing your next gig."

Xinyan laughed, scratching the back of her neck awkwardly. "Yeah, well, its not easy! Plus, we just want the best for the school-"
She was cut off by a key of the keyboard hitting her head.

Xiangling accidentally threw it up whilst digging in the storage.
"Ah! My key! Okay, I'm all good to go, that was the last one!"

Xingqiu nodded his head before standing up. "I've finished the lyrics. Now that we've got the beat and the lyrics, all we've got to do is practice."

"Awesome! Thanks, Xingqiu! Let's get to practicing now?" Chongyun smiled.
Xingqiu nodded, happy to see Chongyun smile so eagerly.

Yanfei nodded her head in agreement. "Great, you've got most your stuff sorted. Remember, its the 13th today. You guys have got 7 more days to practice before the event day."
She noted some things down in her notebook before waving goodbye and taking her leave.

Hu Tao weeped at her bestfriend leaving, before switching up seriously with her hands on her hips. "Okay! Let's get booming!!"
