Derek pushes the door to the library open as he rushed out through the doors. If he had to listen to anymore of that he was going to explode.
He tosses his apple core into the bin as he rushes down the hallway. Stiles words still reaching his ears. "And now he's gone." Stiles voice sounded disappointed and Derek could picture a pout on the lanky teen's face. Great, now Derek was thinking about Stiles pouty lips.
The bell didn't save him either. Because now he had to go to class. A class he had with Stiles. Derek felt his face heat up more, thinking of Stiles earlier words about his eyes.
He reaches his locker and shoves the book he was reading into it as he pulls out the books he needs for the next class dumping them in his bag as he turns around only to be met with the person he was trying to get away from.
"Hi, Derek. We've got Chem next." Stiles says as he falls into step with Derek.
Derek can only nod, willing his face to cool down. Hoping the whiskey eyed boy wouldn't notice. He can't help but glance down at Stiles' lips. He was right, they looked perfect for pouting. So pink and plump. Derek imagined what it would feel like to bite down on Stiles' lip and almost stumbles over.
"I saw you in the library. What book were you reading?" Stiles asks and Derek feels himself blush again. Remembering all of Stiles' words in the library.
Derek can barely remember what he had read in the library, let alone the name of the book. "Uh, come on. We're here." Derek says as he walks into the chemistry classroom.
Mr Harrison glances up at them, checking his watch to make sure they weren't late. Luckily they weren't.
Forgetting that Stiles sits next to him, Derek settles down into his seat. He blinks as Stiles continues to talk to him. "I mean it can't be that bad of a book that you won't tell me the name of it."
Derek doesn't remember what he was reading so he tells Stiles that. "No, it was boring. I don't remember." Derek says shutting Stiles down. He didn't want to make conversation especially now.
Stiles leans forward resting his head on his hand as he stares as Derek. "Oh? You seemed pretty invested in it though."
Shrugging, Derek's eyes drift over Stiles realising how nice the boy looked when he leaned on his hand like that. This wasn't a good thing. No, no. He wasn't supposed to notice how nice Stiles looks. To imagine what it would be like to touch Stiles' cheek. To caress his skin. Nope, nope. Derek closes his eyes momentarily. Trying to block out the look of the boy. But this only allowed Derek to focus more of Stiles' scent. Of rosemary and lemon soap and the oreos Derek had seen him eat. Which brought forth the image of Stiles' lips. Fuck, he needs to stop thinking.
"So, you into reading? Or was that a one time thing?"
Derek opens his eyes to glare at Stiles, willing the boy to go away or shut up. Just so he wouldn't have to continue thinking about him. Stiles heartbeat picks up, and if Derek didn't know Stiles liked him he would have assumed it was fear. But no, Derek studies Stiles' slightly dilated pupils. It was attraction. The words come back to Derek. "There's this look he gives me in class when I say something weird and man, it's so sexy." He feels himself blush again. The effect those words had on him.
"Not a one time thing." Derek answers, his voice a little lower than usual. Luckily that's when Mr Harrison started class, saving Derek from melting into a flustered puddle.
