Chapter - 13

The gurudakshina 😑

In hastinapur-

The all princes of hastinapur, and our Harsha are gathered in the sabha as the announcement of the yuvraj is going to happen soon.

All are listening to the Sabha attentively except Harsha.

Harsha's thoughts are filled with Maatha kunthi's thoughts. His eyes are searching for her as she is not present in the sabha.

Harsha didn't understood why The mother who abandoned him in this birth have the same face as his previous birth's mother. He don't have any grudge against Maatha kunthi but still he can't get close to her due to her abandoning him he can't let anyone call her names. He was thinking about her all the time when he felt someone poking his shoulder. He turned aside.

Arjun : What are you thinking Maharaj.
(He said with a childish grin.)

Harsha smiled at him while messing his hair and said.

Harsha : Nothing. Do you know why Maatha kunthi didn't attended today's sabha. (He said with a small sad smile.)

Arjun : Ohh about that, Maatha was not feeling well.

Harsha widened his eyes and whisper yelled.

Harsha : What? What happened to her. Yesterday she was fine right. Now what happened. (He asked worriedly.)

Arjun : Why are you so much worried about her Maharaj. She did fasting yesterday that's why she was tired. So she's taking rest. (He said looking at me in confusion.)

Harsha didn't said anything because he was lost in his thoughts. She didn't saw his kavach appearing on my body yesterday right. Then why she's sick. He kept his both hands on his head as it was paining due to his unending thoughts.

Just then guru dron arrived and asked for his gurudakshina. He didn't even paid attention to anyone in the sabha. He wanted the sabha to end soon so that he could meet his maatha.

And the most awaited moment came when both pandavas and kauravas agreed on attacking panchal and the sabha was dismissed.

Harsha immediately caught arjun's hand and started dragging him out of the sabha.

Arjun : Arey! Maharaj where are you taking me.

Pandavas are also following the two archers and are looking at both of them with amusement.

Harsha : Arjun! If you dared to call me Maharaj again I'm gonna beat your ass. Just call me bhai or something. I'm just 5 years older to you young man. (He said still searching for something in the corridors.

Bheem stifled his laugh at what Harsha said while Arjun pouted at him. And our mischievous twins nakul and sahadev are laughing loudly.

Arjun : But where are you taking me. I can tell you the way if you don't know. So tell me.

Harsha : Umm! (He is hesitating a bit but still said.) I want to meet your maatha. You said she's sick. So I want to meet her.
(He said scratching his neck making the 5 brothers chuckle.)

Just then Aasha came there while laughing along with dushala. And subhadra was lost in Arjun.

Aasha : Where are you going chatterbox. I've not heard you talking in sabha today. Did sun raised from West today. You, and keeping your mouth shut. (She said with a smirk on her face.)

But her smirk dropped when he said.

Harsha : And don't forget you asked this so called"CHATTERBOX" to be your husband yesterday. (He said making her grit her teeth and went away bumping into his shoulder.)

Arjun : why do you both always fight Bhai. (Arjun said looking at Harsha who is still sighting the yadava girl.)

Bheem cleared his throat making Harsha look at him.

Harsha : What? (He said covering his embarrassment.)

Bheem said nothing and they finally reached kunthi's chamber.

Harsha : Ufff! Finally. Why do you guys have to build this palace so big. (He said dramatically flopping himself on a seat.)

Pandavas just smiled at his antics. They started talking on random things and then maatha kunthi came to them listening the voice.

Kunthi : Putron! You are back. (She said trying to reach them when she stumbled upon her step.)

Harsha immediately caught her and said.

Harsha : Maatha when you have six children over here, why do you even have to get up for doing a work. You have to just order. And what happened to you? Arjun said you were sick. Are you alright now.(he was asking questions to her non stoply.)

Kunthi smiled at him in adoration and said.

Kunthi : Don't worry putr. I'm just tired. Now I'm perfectly alright. (She said slightly caressing his hair making him smile at her.)

Harsha without saying anything hugged her making her surprised but still she hugged him back. She felt so happy that instant that she felt as if she won the whole world.

Harsha broke the hug and smiled at her brightly. Pandavas just adored the pure relationship they both had.

Harsha started speaking to her again. All the pandavas left for their room as it was getting late. But our Harsha and arjun stayed with kunthi.

Arjun and Harsha layed on her lap talking to her. Telling her about their gurukul days making her laugh in delight. They both got tired while talking and fell asleep. Kunthi felt so lucky today. She kept caressing their hair till she fell asleep as well.

After 3 days-

The pandavas returned victorious to hastinapur. They were warmly welcomed along with the kauravas. Maatha kunthi along with Maatha gandhari are waiting for their sons arrival. One was happy due to their sons victory and another one was happy cuz her sons are safe.

Kauravas were unhappy about their failure. Their heads bowed down and they stayed silent.

Harsha : Yaah! Suyo why are you sad? (Harsha asked raising his eyebrows making everyone turn their heads to him.)

Duryodhan : I'm not sad mitr. I'm alright. (He said trying to fake a smile but failed miserably.)

Harsha chuckled and said.

Harsha : Yaah! Don't try to act. Anyways there is nothing to be sad about. If you win then be happy and try to improve yourself even more and if you fail then learn from it. And for learning from it first of all you have to accept it. Accepting yourself with every flaw of yours is quite hard. But until you do it you won't be able love anybody boy.

Everyone were speechless for sometime. Because these many shades in one person is rare to see.

In a secluded place of hastinapur palace-

A man whose face was covered with his turbun's cloth was seen speaking to shakuni.

??? : If you don't accept my request now. Then I'll kill your son. Do you understand. I want her at any cost.

Shakuni : Y-yes. But please leave my son.

??? : yes of course. I won't even let a scratch on your son. But only if you agree on my condition.

Shakuni : Whatever the condition is. I'll accept it. Please tell me.

??? : I would act like your son in front of the hastinapur royals. And you would act like I'm your son as well.

Shakuni : But didn't you said you wanted that yadav kumari.

??? : you don't get to question me you weakling. Just do what I asked you to do.

Shakuni just nodded and went away from there.
