"How is Phi Babe, is he still crying? Has he eaten yet?"
"Oh, take it easy. You haven't recovered yet, kid," the uncle scolded him while Charlie cautiously stepped aside. Despite having just gotten up and started walking normally a few days ago.
"Uh, just go sit down," Jeff told his brother calmly with a worried look, as if his eyes were screaming.
It's easy to watch over and worry about others, but when it comes to your own situation, you don't think about it for a second. It's really frustrating.
"How is P'Babe?" Charlie repeated the same question since he hadn't received the answer he wanted, and at the same time, resigned himself to sitting on the sofa following his brother's words. Because he knew that as long as Jeff was stubborn and refused to share any news from outside, he wouldn't have the chance to hear it:
"Did he eat today or did he refuse again?"
"I'm not sure about today. Because we've been separated since the funeral, but yesterday they forced him to eat," Jeff replied, sitting on the small sofa next to the long sofa where Charlie was sitting. "As for crying, it continues. I don't know what to do."
"We shouldn't have done this." Charlie felt guilty, as it had been a million assaults since he discovered how much Babe was suffering. The more he knew, the worse he felt.
"Babe can't take it anymore, he'll have to keep crying for a long time."
"But you've already made a decision, Charlie, and sitting here thinking like this won't help at all."
"I know, but I feel sorry for Babe."
"Do you want to have a child with him?"
"Stop it, Jeff. He told us not to talk about that."
Charlie grimaced bitterly, thinking of the worst possible scenario.
"Tell him you miss him why fight when he came to see you?" The uncle said softly, placing a glass of hot chocolate and a large oatmeal cookie in front of Jeff. The young man nodded, grateful not only for the drink and food but for everything this man had helped them with.
"We're not fighting, but Jeff likes to say weird things."
"What weird things?" Uncle Pram raised an eyebrow and sat next to Charlie. "Is it about children? Is that it?"
"Uh, why does he keep talking about that?"
Charlie pouted. Meanwhile, Jeff could only smile nervously, grateful that his brother's strange behavior had quickly made their uncle accept him. Although normally the alpha wasn't good at getting along with anyone, it seemed that after a few days with Uncle Pram, he felt more comfortable and acted as if he were smart.
Seeing the scene in front of him made Jeff realize they had taken a risk from the start, when they almost argued to death about whether or not to carry out this crazy plan. But in the end, Charlie, who had been in an unfavorable state, quickly became close to the uncle after he helped them two weeks ago.
.....
"I don't want to, are you crazy?" Charlie immediately refused when Jeff suggested the best way out for the moment.
"Charlie." The small omega pleaded strongly when he saw Charlie reject his only plan. Jeff knew his plan didn't seem like something they should follow, but he pleaded, claiming he had thought so much his head was about to explode. It hadn't been easy to come up with a plan like this that had high chances of success and the least possible risk. "I know you don't want to do this, but there's no other way."
"There must be another way, Jeff. It can't be just like this."
"So what other way? Tell me."
Charlie remained silent, reluctantly admitting he couldn't come up with a plan that could get him out of this situation. He had thought of various ways he believed could work, but in the end, there was an obvious flaw in all of them. However, Jeff's plan was even more ruthless. How could he force him to do something like that?
