The first test was a 50-meter race. The first test was simple and straightforward: a 50-meter two-person race. Surprisingly, Kurumi was against Izuku. A small smile graced her lips. "Hey, Izuku," she smiled, looking at the boy with green hair.
Izuku looked up from the starting line, his face a picture of concentration. For a moment, his eyes didn't seem to register the familiar face before him. When he finally did, a look of shock spread across his features. "Kurumi?" he exclaimed, his voice tinged with both surprise and delight. "I didn't recognize you for a second!"
Kurumi's smile widened at his reaction. "Yep, it's me. It's been a while, hasn't it?"
Izuku's eyes sparkled with a mix of nostalgia and excitement. "Yeah, it has! I can't believe we're both here at U.A.!"
Kurumi nodded, her heart fluttering at the unexpected reunion. "I know, right? I didn't expect to see you here either. You finally got your quirk,"
Izuku's smile faltered for a second. "Yeah, I was a super late bloomer," he said, his voice trailing off slightly.
Kurumi tilted her head slightly, noticing the change. "You've really come a long way, though. I'm proud of you." Something was off about Izuku's scent, which was different from the last time she'd met him, but maybe that was just puberty.
Izuku's expression brightened a bit at her words. She was proud of him. "Thanks, Kurumi. That means a lot coming from you."
Before they could continue their conversation, Aizawa's voice cut through, commanding their attention. "Alright, both of you, to the starting line."
Izuku and Kurumi took their positions, their previous conversation hanging in the air as they prepared for the race. Aizawa gave them the signal, and they were off. It was an unfair match-up, truly. Kurumi wasn't OP, and she had a lot to learn, but she was a supernatural being...
It took her only 3.04 seconds. She tied with the boy who had blue hair and red eyes; Tenya Iida was his name. He went before the pair.
Kurumi huffed angrily. "Stupid fucking sun," She grumbled as Izuku finally caught up. It took him 7.02 seconds. Not bad for a human. Spider chirped next to her, nodding in agreement.
