Now, in the girls changing room, Kurumi mentally grimaced. They'd see all of her markings, and if anyone in this locker room were remotely intelligent, then she'd definitely get outed as a vampire. It wasn't like she was hiding it, but she didn't want to get bullied so early in the year. Her heart raced as she undressed, dreading the moment when she'd have to reveal the bat-like markings on her back. They were no mere tattoos; they were a part of her—an unchangeable aspect of her identity as a vampire.
She carefully peeled off her blouse, trying to keep her movements as discreet as possible. The bat markings were intricate, spreading across her shoulders and down her arms like dark, swirling designs. The most prominent feature was the symbol on the middle of her lower back, a mark that resembled a tramp stamp but was, in fact, a traditional vampire symbol. To outsiders, it might look like an odd design, but to her, it was a constant reminder of who she was.
"Woah girl, your tats are so cool!" A bubbly voice called out behind her. Kurumi turned around, not really caring for a bunch of girls seeing her in her bra. The girl who said that had beautiful pink skin and gorgeous yellow eyes. Kurumi was starting to think that being beautiful was one of the necessary traits someone needed to be a part of Class 1-A cause what the fuck, well, minus that purple-ball-haired sleaze who tried to see up her skirt.
Kurumi froze for a moment, her eyes widening as she turned to face the girl who had spoken. The girl with pink skin and yellow eyes was beaming at her, her admiration evident. She was so cute!
"Oh, um, thanks," Kurumi replied as she pulled on her P.E. uniform
The girl giggled and bounced slightly on her toes. "I'm Mina Ashido. I just wanted to say that your markings are really hot! I haven't seen anything like them before."
Kurumi managed a small, relieved smile. "I'm Kurumi Suzuki. And, well, they're part of my quirk. I guess they do stand out a bit."
"Oh, cool!" Mina's eyes sparkled with curiosity. I've read a bit about different quirks and their manifestations, but I've never seen markings quite like these. Are they a part of your powers?" Kurumi felt her heart swell; no one had ever been genuinely interested in her quirk. Even though she hadn't told the girl directly what her quirk was, it still felt nice.
