A few hours later
Steph's PoV
„Huh, where am I?" I ask myself as I wake up in a white room, surrounded by beeping sounds, then suddenly the door opens and I hear a person walk in „Hello, I am Doctor Thorne, and I will be your doctor for your stay... but first can I ask what happened?" the doctor said with a friendly voice, but I just stare at her and say nothing, and point at my throat, which makes her realize something and she grabs a pen and paper „Would that work?" she asks kindly, to which I just reply with a nod. While I could talk, I don't want to... I don't want her to hate me too, so I use my injuries as a way to not talk.
„Ok, then I ask you again: Could you maybe write down what exactly happened to you?" she asks really kindly „Do you want to know all of it?" I write and show her, to which she just said yes. So I wrote down everything, how my dad would beat me for speaking, how I „lost" pets because they ran away from hearing my voice, how my mom would insult and beat me too, how he used to tell me that I should speak up if I wanted food, just to punish me for speaking. When I was done, and finally showed her, I expected her to just laugh at the ridiculous things I wrote down, but I wasn't prepared for her to hug me while saying that it will be better soon.
Oh, how wrong she would be...
