Bacon Cheddar Potato Soup

Ingredients
I large chopped onion
3 chopped garlic cloves
3 tablespoons of butter
2 1/2 cups milk
1/3 cup flour
6-8 slices bacon
1 cup of broccoli
3 cups chicken broth
3 cups diced potatoes
4 cups shredded sharp cheddar an cheddar
1/2 tablespoon salt
1/2 tablespoon garlic powder
1/2 tablespoon black pepper
2/3 cup heavy cream

Optional
1/2 cup celery
1/2 cup carrots
2/3 cup sour cream
1/2 tablespoon chives

Recipe
1. Boil water in pot an put cubed skinned potatoes in until mostly soft. Set aside.
2. Cook bacon on stove until crispy and done.
3. Add butter an diced onion into a new pot. Cook for 5 mins until tender.
4. Add garlic cloves in with onion.
4. Sprinkle the flour over the onion an garlic butter. Then add the cooked potatoes, chicken broth, milk, an heavy cream.
5. Next add seasoning. Salt, pepper, garlic an chili powder.
5. Simmer the mix until the potatoes an bacon are cooked well. Add in the cheese until all melted. Mix it an let it cool.
6. Add chives on top a more black pepper a serve it with buttery crackers a bread to dip it.
