The usual morning announcement awoke me from my slumber. I got up and did my morning routine before joining the others in the Dining Hall for breakfast.

"Look who finally decided to join us." Amy said, sighing as they poked their fork in their food.

"Can it." I retorted, slapping some breakfast on my tray before sitting next to Aiko.

"Greetings, Mirai. How was your slumber?" Naruhito asked.

"It was whatever. Those beds are fucking uncomfortable."

"I agree." Ari replied. "I find myself awake most nights."

"Me too. I miss my home bed." Shikumo added.

"You know what I miss? My bathroom." Ishibuko responded, agreemants surrounding the table.

We ended up all sharing what we missed most. Amy, their books, Chidori, his garden. It was honestly such a blast from the past. I hadn't really been thinking about home in a while, so I found myself almost tearing up.

Eventually, we all went our separate ways for free time. I ended up back in my room, too scared to go out and socialize with more people. While alliances will probably help in the long run, I just couldn't bring myself to do it. I was just too exhausted.

I sat on my bed for a while, mostly strategizing. Monokuma was up to something, and I'm sure any day now he'll have a spectacle waiting for us. His sadistic ways to get us to kill each other are maddening, and it's only been one kill. Some day, we'll all be dead. Except two.

I looked over at my handbook, grabbing it and searching through the rules. I never actually looked at them.

Rule #1: Students may reside only within the school. Leaving campus is an unacceptable use of time.Rule #2: "Nighttime" is from 10 pm to 7 am. Some areas are off-limits at night, so please exercise caution. Rule #3: Sleeping anywhere other than the dormitory will be seen as sleeping in class and punished accordingly.Rule #4: With minimal restrictions, you are free to explore Hope's Peak Academy at your discretion.Rule #5: Violence against headmaster Monokuma is strictly prohibited, as is destruction of surveillance cameras.Rule #6: Anyone who kills a fellow student and becomes "the guilty one" will graduate, unless they are discovered.Rule #7: Additional school regulations may be added if necessary Rule #8: Once a murder takes place, a class trial will begin shortly thereafter. Participation is mandatory for all surviving students.

"Huh.." I muttered to myself. These seemed pretty normal, which was a bit surprising. Although it's a little weird that you can only sleep in your own dorm.

Eventually, the nighttime announcement went off and I went to get ready for bed, before my doorbell rang. I opened the door... but no one was there. I looked left, then right, then down.

A crumpled up piece of paper was in front of my feet. I picked it up and uncrumbled it. In delicate handwriting, it read:

𝑀𝑒𝑒𝓉 𝓂𝑒 𝒶𝓉 𝒸𝓁𝒶𝓈𝓈𝓇𝑜𝑜𝓂 1-𝒜. 3 𝒶.𝓂. 𝒯𝓇𝓎 𝓃𝑜𝓉 𝓉𝑜 𝒻𝒶𝓁𝓁 𝒶𝓈𝓁𝑒𝑒𝓅.
