Chapter thirty four

(Y/n) pov:

It broke my heart to see Sasuke in so much pain. Eyes wide and gasping for breath under Yoroi's hands.

I only felt half the pain that Sasuke felt. And the waves hit him twice as hard because he was the one fighting.

We somehow connected. At least the curse marks were.

In the arena, Sasuke suddenly kicked Yoroi in the stomach, sending him flying a few meters away from him, but he got up pretty quickly.

He spoke. Yoroi was talking to Sasuke in the arena.

Curiosity got the best of me and I focused on my hearing senses, thinking about what Reji thought of me.

The wolf senses it.

"So you still have strength left. Impressive for a kid."

Yoroi spoke up. I closed my eyes so I could better concentrate on what they were saying to each other.

I know I don't say this a lot, but I'm proud of you, doll. You learn everything I taught you pretty quickly.

I'm proud of myself too.

There's my woman. Did you hear that, Tobirama?

I rolled my eyes in thought.

Shut up before I-

I silenced their voices and listened to the fight in the arena. I heard their movements, when they kicked, when they threw weapons. And if I concentrated a little harder, I could hear him breathing.

Yoroi chuckled as if in victory.

I can hear many people moving uncomfortably upstairs. Some are close, some are a little further. I hear Sakura's worried sigh, probably fidgeting with her fingers as well.

And a moment later I actually thought that my ears would burst out because Naruto yelled.

"Hey! Sasuke!"

I immediately stopped concentrating.

Lesson for today, be cautious of a Naruto every time you concentrate on hearing.

Learned.

"Come on, what was that? And you call yourself an Uchiha? You're gonna let this loser walk all over you! Come on, stop messing around and give it to him!"

I opened my eyes, taking in Naruto who was gripping the bars of the upper level tightly.

Everyone was looking at the fight with interest, but only one pair of teal blue eyes were cold and uncaring about the whole thing.

Staring right at me.

Gaara had his arms crossed, eyes on mine with Temari and Kankuro bickering in the back.

I kept his stare for a few more seconds before looking away down at the arena.

Sasuke's eyes widen, Naruto's words finally knocking some sense into him.

And I couldn't help but grin as Yoroi lunged forward to attack.

Sasuke dodged every attack and every attempt of Yoroi touching him.

And he dissapeared, making Yoroi stop in his tracks, slight panick entering in his movements before he was sent flying by Sasuke who kicked him in the back.

It all happened so fast.

I looked at Lee, seeing his mouth on the ground as he watched Sasuke using his technique.

Sasuke groaned down in the arena and I yelped.

The mark was burning badly and I slapped my hand down on my neck careful not to let out and other sounds of pain as I sat there shaking.
