Haruki had started to get sick more often recently. The constant fevers that started perking up, random losses of energy. She hoped it was nothing serious, that it was just him being careless with his body.

The first light of dawn was just beginning to break through the shoji screens, casting a soft glow across Kynna's sleeping form. She stirred slightly, her dreams filled with the tranquil of random stories. However, the peace of the morning was abruptly interrupted by a series of urgent knocks on her door.

"Kynna! Kynna, wake up!" The voice was unmistakably Akio's, filled with worry and urgency.

Kynna's eyes snapped open, and she quickly rose from her futon, her heart racing. She hurried to the door and slid it open to find Aiko standing there, his face pale and his eyes wide with fear.

"Akio, what's wrong?" she asked, her voice laced with concern.

"It's Haruki," Akio replied, his voice trembling. "He's really sick. You need to come quick."

Haruki had started to get sick more often recently. The constant fevers that started perking up, random losses of energy. She hoped it was nothing serious, that it was just him being careless with his body.

Without a moment's hesitation, Kynna followed Akio down the hall to the room the twins shared. As they entered, she saw Hiroshi lying in his futon, his face flushed with fever and his breathing labored. Her heart ached at the sight of her younger brother in such distress.

Kynna knelt beside Haruki, placing a gentle hand on his forehead. The heat radiating from him confirmed Akio's fears. She turned to Akio, her expression determined but calm.

"Go fetch some cool water and a cloth," she instructed. "We need to bring his fever down."

Akio nodded and quickly left the room. Kynna turned her attention back to Hakrui, speaking to him in a soothing voice. "I'm here, Hakuri. We're going to take care of you."

Hakuri's eyes fluttered open briefly, filled with pain and confusion. "Kynna..." he murmured weakly.

"Shh, don't try to talk," Kynna said softly, brushing his hair back from his damp forehead. "Just rest. We're going to make you feel better."

Akio returned with a bowl of cool water and a cloth. Kynna dipped the cloth into the water and wrung it out before placing it gently on Hakuri's forehead. She repeated the process several times, working to bring his fever down.

After a while, Haruki's breathing began to steady, though his fever remained worryingly high. Kynna knew they needed more help than she could provide at the cherry blossom estate. She turned to Akio, who was watching anxiously.
