REV'S POV (CONTINUATION)

I was driving my car, unknowingly thinking about her again .

Recalling the picture in the forum where I knelt before her, it was actually because I had dropped my pencil earlier in class. As I bent down to retrieve it, she became flustered, and I couldn't help but enjoy her reaction. I chose not to mention that it was merely for a pencil. Her face turned a deep shade of red, and her eyes sparkled.

I chuckle at the thought.

After returning home, I changed and reopened my socials to see if she had accepted my request. She hadn't-she had deleted my request. It was late at night, I debated whether I should resend the request. Ultimately, I did.

A minute or two later, I checked my phone again; she had deleted my request once more. I felt a sharp pang in my chest, as if I had lost something significant. These emotions were foreign to me, and I was curious to explore them.

Realizing that this approach wasn't working, I decided to send her a message instead. She didn't respond. I waited for two hours, eventually drifting off to sleep without receiving a single message from her.

Brynleigh's POV

I woke up extra early today to get ready. Alida asked me to wash my hair so that she could style me herself today. She did.
She did an amazing job.

The make up was bold and the dress she had given me made me look like royalty. I had never felt this pretty before.

" Where did you learn this from " I asked her in absolute surprise after looking myself in the mirror

"Oh come on , I grew up with women looking like this all the time " she said.

I didn't know if she was flexing or simply telling the truth. I'm sure it's the latter. But for what she had done with my face I'm genuinely thankful.

I gave her a huge hug before getting my stuff for the 3 classes I had today.

The 1st two classes went by smoothly.
But the 3rd class was finance. I was scared to face Reverie, afterall I had ignored him. I was nervous and self conscious so I thought I should fix my make up once before I get into the class.

As I was headed to the restroom. There he was my worst nightmare.
Someone I would have thrown myself at if I was in high-school. His hair still as golden and pretty as back then. His gorgeously carved pink lips and that saccharine smile.
But now it was different. Everything was different.

Asher Donovan.
My ex.
The guy who broke my heart in high-school.
He was in the same college as me.

He didn't have the brains to get in. How did he get in ? That was my first thought.
Money. Haha.. money can really do anything.

I tried not to get noticed. I desperately didn't want to get noticed.

"Bryn , is that you ?" The familiar voice I hadn't heard from after I had caught him in bed with another girl, blocked him from everywhere and changed schools , spoke to me.
My luck's never on my side is it?
