Two days later, the anticipation was palpable as Biana led Sophie into her room, a twinkle in her eye. "Okay, it's time to get you ready for your first date with Keefe," she announced, her voice a mix of excitement and authority.

Sophie's stomach flipped at the mention of the word 'date'. She had been trying to play it cool, but the truth was she was as nervous as a caffeinated squirrel. Keefe had texted her the night before saying to dress cute but casual' for their dinner. It was the first time they had planned something officially as a couple, and she wanted everything to be perfect.

Biana pushed her onto a chair in front of the vanity mirror, her eyes sparkling with excitement. She handed her a navy blue top and a pair of jeans that were loose but still neat. "These will look amazing on you," she said, her voice filled with certainty. Biana then handed her a pair of black Sambas. "These are perfect," she said with a nod. "Comfortable but still stylish."

Sophie slipped into the outfit, feeling the soft fabric of the top and the familiar embrace of the jeans

Sophie slipped into the outfit, feeling the soft fabric of the top and the familiar embrace of the jeans. The blue brought out the color of her eyes, and she couldn't help but feel a bit more confident. Biana stepped behind her, picking up a brush and starting to work her magic on her hair. "Messy half up, half down," she explained, her eyes meeting Sophie's in the mirror. "It's casual but makes you look put together."

Just as Biana was finishing up, a knock sounded at the door. The girls exchanged glances, and Biana grinned mischievously. "Showtime," she whispered.

Sophie took a deep breath and walked to the door, her heart racing. She pulled it open to reveal Keefe, looking breathtaking in loose jeans and a white Ralph Lauren sweater that made his eyes pop. His golden goose shoes were a playful twist on the casual look. He held a bouquet of red roses, her favorite, and his eyes lit up when he saw her.

"Well, if it isn't the lady of the hour," he said, his voice smooth as silk. He stepped closer, handing her the roses. "You look stunning, Foster."

Sophie's cheeks flushed, and she couldn't help but roll her eyes at his flattery. "You're something else, Keefe," she said, trying to keep her voice even. But her attempt at nonchalance was ruined by the way her voice trembled slightly.

"Alright, lovebirds, let's not keep the city waiting," Biana interrupted, a knowing smile playing on her lips. She gave Keefe a gentle push towards the door. "You two have fun tonight, okay?"

Keefe wrapped an arm around Sophie's waist, pulling her closer. "We will," he promised, his eyes sparkling with excitement.

"Be safe, I don't want to be an auntie before I'm done highschool." Biana called out as they were leaving.

Sophie blushed and Keefe laughed and called back, "No promises." Sophie slapped him on the arm.

They stepped out of the dorm building, the cool evening air a stark contrast to the warmth of the house. Keefe led her to a sleek black car parked in the driveway, the headlights casting a soft glow onto the pavement. The engine purred to life as he opened the door for her, and she slid into the seat.

As they pulled away from the curb, the nervous energy in the car was thick. Keefe cleared his throat. " Play some music this is boringg?" he said jokingly clearing the tension.

Sophie nodded and pulled out her phone, scrolling through her playlist. She stopped at "Heaven and Back" by Chase Atlantic. She knew it wasn't very romantic but Keefe was her bestfriend before her boyfriend so it didn't matter. (nobody responded and I like chase Atlantic so I'm gonna play it.)

Keefe's eyes lit up when the first notes of the song played through the speakers. "I love this one," he said, starting to sing along. But his singing was anything but angelic—it was off-key and filled with laughter.

Sophie couldn't help but chuckle. "You're terrible," she said, shaking her head.

Keefe jokingly winked at her. "You look like you just came from heaven and back."

Sophie playfully rolled her eyes at his terrible attempt at romance. "That was so cheesy," she said, but she couldn't hold back her smile.

Keefe grinned, not at all deterred. "But did it work?"

Sophie rolled her eyes but leant over and press a soft kiss to his cheek. "Horribly,"

Keefe's cheeks turned a shade of pink and he turned his attention back to the road, the car gliding smoothly through the dimly lit streets. The anticipation grew as they approached their destination, a restaurant nestled between the shops and the waterfront. The lights from the buildings reflected off the calm water, painting the sky with a warm glow.

They arrived at the restaurant, the sound of their shoes echoing on the cobblestone as they approached the entrance. The hostess greeted them with a smile, leading them through the intimate dining area. As they were guided to their table, Sophie's heart skipped a beat when she saw Grady and Edaline sitting at the table directly beside their reserved spot. Her eyes widened in surprise, and she felt Keefe tense up beside her.

"Your actually kidding?" she whispered, her voice barely audible over the hum of conversation and clinking silverware.

Keefe took a deep breath, his grip on her hand tightening slightly. "I wish."

Sophie nodded, trying to steady her racing heart. She could feel the heat of Keefe's palm against hers as they approached the table. Grady and Edaline looked up as they approached, their expressions a mix of surprise, and maybe anger.
